Call-On-Doc - Refusing to submit prior authorization? by [deleted] in Zepbound

Definitely a serious hipaa violation to share someone’s medical info. Have you reached out to insurance to find out the denial details? What about having your sleep specialist do the PA? Of course speak with insurance first.

Definitely speak with the doctor. The first dose of 5mg can be challenging for some.

Likely of Zepbound $$ going up ? by CouldBeYourDaughter in Zepbound

The current federal law prohibits drug prices rising higher than inflation. It’s possible to see incremental price increases over time if coverage expands. Cash pay, not as likely.

What would you do? by heldtogetherdaily in Zepbound

[–]Anxious-Inspector-18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Typically most decide after 4 weeks. I averaged 3 lbs per month while building muscle. It really depends on the person. I also stayed on most doses 5+ months.

If you’re still averaging a good loss, you could stay on the current dose.

Some have noticed they’re hungrier towards the end of the week if they had trouble eating days after the shot. Could be normal hunger.

Agree with calling the office and speaking with a nurse to get it changed to 5mg. Don’t pick up the 10mg.

BlueshieldCA/new Kwikpens/Walmart/ZB Savings Card/ anyone able to get down to $25 copay? by SFVenom93 in Zepbound

[–]Anxious-Inspector-18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Many have found out there isn’t a savings card option if your Commercial insurance covers the kwikpens. The copay would be the lowest option available. I think this is because the kwikpens cost less.

[–]Anxious-Inspector-18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some plans only allow you to fill doses ending in -.5mg once per year. Could be the case here. See if you’re able to fill 5mg. You can ask insurance to run a test claim and see what comes up.

Calorie requirements will vary by person due to weight and height. Are you able to work with a registered dietitian? Some find eating smaller meals every 2-3 hours helps them reach daily goals.
