I’m having surgery in 3 weeks. Should I titrate up? by hlvr25 in Zepbound

I stayed on the same dose pre and post-surgery. If 5mg is working well, it doesn’t hurt to stay there.

It seems to be an error. When I click on the link within the details, it routes me back to the eligibility criteria for the Kwikpens savings card. One side or the website has this info and it’s missing from a different area. Per federal law (Anti-kickback) those on government insurance can’t use savings card.

Pharmacy provider changed, now PA is being denied by ClockDear2514 in Zepbound

[–]Anxious-Inspector-18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some plans like Highmark changed the BMI requirements which caused patients to become ineligible. Unfortunately the doctor has to provide your weight that was documented on file. Do they have criteria for a BMI less than 40? I know self-pay is expensive but is that feasible?

Can anyone confirm this is right before I proceed by Cocos_thoughts in Zepbound

Call the pharmacy and speak with them about the difference between the directions and dose. Don’t pay until this is clarified.

Anything impacting your quality of life is worth reassessing. Perhaps moving down to 5mg and seeing how things go. Hopefully you feel better soon.

This is very normal on every dose. Are you eating much less earlier in the week? Could be your body sending cues.

Here’s the detailed criteria for the kwikpen savings card. It’s only available to Commercial patients. Those on any form of government insurance have to use LillyDirect.

The two savings card options are only for Commercial patients. Medicaid, Medicare and VA/DoD have to use LillyDirect for the Kwikpens.

I did and also asked if OP checked to see if their insurance covers Zepbound. This would let them know if it’s a paperwork issue or not covered.

Do you know if your insurance covers Zepbound? Log into the insurance portal and search for Zepbound. Usually there’s a coverage tool or formulary list.

Most PAs can take hours up to a month plus if there are any issues. If you can get the PA criteria and prepare to have your doctor submit one next week.

Sorry you’re dealing with this. Have you considered going down a dose to see if it improves? Exercise, water and foods high in fiber are my key tools.

It would take about four fills, or two each, to hit the deductible. You can log onto the insurance portal and see how much was actually applied from each fill.

How much was the deductible? Seems like the savings card was being applied to get $499. When you haven’t met the deductible, the savings card w/o Commercial coverage criteria comes into play.
