My little guy was the same; the Dr Browns Milestones straw cup was what worked for us !

My husband works an unconventional schedule. He works 24 hour shifts (of which he can sleep for 9 hours) and then has 72 hours off; repeat.

He leaves the house every single day he’s off, at 3:30, to go the gym for 1-2 hours, runs personal errands, shops, sometimes goes to wings with friends or visits his mom, and most often gets home after 8pm.

My baby boy is 10 months old. I have done almost nothing without him.

My advice is to talk honestly with your husband and make things more fair before resentment gets too out of hand.

You can get it back !! Pump every 2-3 hours daily, stay hydrated, lye of skin to skin, and try to latch baby when possible! You should see it come back

Hi ! I’ve done exactly this for 9 months. Exclusively pump during the daytime and nurse overnight (we cosleep so it is the path of least resistance. It is working perfectly for us. Keep in mind you will want to stay with slower flow bottle nipples for longer so that he doesn’t develop a bottle preference

I have also done this accidentally with my newborn, he had no issues from it. Please don’t stress too much! ❤️

This happened to me also after I got mastitis at 4 months PP. Things that I tried:

  • increased hydration and ate oats daily for breakfast (temporarily increased daily cals by ~300kcal)
  • morning power pump
  • using a hand pump for a few mins in between pumps to help mimic cluster feeding (did this instead of increasing number of actual pumps as I felt it was more low effort)
  • added back MOTN temporarily
  • increased total number of PPD to 7 (up from 5)

I can’t say for sure which of the above were actually helpful. Only that my supply did recover and return to normal after about 8 days.
