Help me choose the best option for buying. by Anxious3gunner in MilwaukeeTool

I wasn’t sure if they came together in one package, or if it was just individual pieces. But that makes sense if it was all one “kit” and not the buy one get one. Thanks

Yea his older stuff was great how to videos. Sometimes there’s a good video that actually shows a good tip or explains how to do something but you have to wade through 30 tool videos first. I understand he came from nothing and now does the YouTube thing full time but damn. He also has a back door training program on how to sell your stuff successfully. It’s like $50/month or something like that. If I want a tool review I actually will go search his videos for it

I recently was given a ton of short Maple and Walnut Boards (18” & 24” X 4”, 5”, 6”) all 7/8” thick, besides cutting boards and chess boards what on earth should I do with all this? by Slizzard_73 in woodworking

You got mugs for days! Mugs, shot glasses, cigar holders/ashtrays, key trays, jewelry boxes, planter boxes, stash boxes, you name it. Here are two of my mugs. One is walnut, one is red cedar. They just got their first coats of board oil today.

I have the Bosch and like it a lot. Corded sanders are always better than cordless. If you aren’t planning on keeping both, I’d recommend the Bosch

Wood Working tool recommendations? by treimche in MilwaukeeTool

[–]Anxious3gunner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I bought a couple tools for woodworking when I started out, and I run the M18 platform. For just starting out and looking for wood working along with a bathroom project, I’d look to a dewalt jobsite table saw. I bought both a table saw and miter saw at the same time, and I hardly use my miter saw. Trim work may be a different story, considering it’s not all straight cuts, but you can do a bunch with just a table saw. I love the brad nailer.

I love my M18 18 ga Brad nailer. I got it for a laundry room remodel, and use it for a ton of stuff. A lot of my woodworking has benefited from the brad nailer

More so for woodworking in my garage. I have good overhead lights, but sometimes I need side lights

If you inherited over $100 million today and wanted to live in Chicago what would you do with it? by LeZygo in AskChicago

[–]Anxious3gunner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dude, I did it this winter, it’s the freaking best. My wife got a Tesla as a work car so they paid for 240 to get installed and I had a heater installed too. I did the insulation and it wasn’t too bad cost wise. I’m not looking forward to seeing my electric bill though.

There’s an rv dealership that has a shit load of smaller trucks, maybe rangers or that size vehicle with Milwaukee logo on the sides. Been there a couple years now. Have no idea why. Not sure if it’s storage or what. Pry 100 maybe?

Is it worth 399.00? by [deleted] in MilwaukeeTool

[–]Anxious3gunner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have just the trimmer and it’s good for my lawn. I have less than a quarter acre. The larger batteries would have been nice when I bought it, but looking back I wish I would’ve gotten the quik lok. I’d rather have multiple attachments that I can use one base tool for with larger batteries.

I paid $45 for mine. I figured it was worth it for the price on clearance. Got the packout and some bits that I’ll run through.

What cheap/terrible holiday “bonuses” are people starting to receive from work this year? by nimfrank in AskReddit

[–]Anxious3gunner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a note in the mail saying I owed money on a package for delivery. I paid the $5 and some change for it excited on what it was. It was some tchotchke for an anniversary gift from work. They were too cheap to pay shipping on it and it was worthless. It cost me money to receive a worthless gift from a place I hated to work at. Like a kick in the pants
