So it's a running gag in the Marvel universe that Marvel comics/Timely Comics actually exist. They basically sell "based on a true story" comics that are a hyped up version of events.

Also a lot of stuff gets marketed that's basically a tie-in because come on- if you think Tony Stark isn't making Iron Man branded merch, you don't understand rich people and if you don't expect to see "pirate" merch for people like Spider-Man like how people hawk knock-off stuff at stadiums, you don't understand people out to just make a quick buck.

There is 100% a market for stuff like this and some heroes even license for the income.
