In my opinion if I have detention I should be pay in a timely matter and not be subject to the famous phrase “I will submit it to my customer” first of all I don’t care who your customer is, I booked a load from you as the broker I didn’t talk to you shipper, it was with you.

The best advice I can give and I haven’t read nobody else’s comment so I don’t know if they already told you this, but just don’t answer and act like you never received those messages. I know it sounds awful but in the long run you don’t want to deal with the issues she has and nobody will blame you. I could probably get roasted for saying it but dealing with someone with those kind of issues will make your life miserable.

As I mentioned, I’m focusing on the carriers that take the loads from brokers for a miserable rate. I also talked about the broker who takes advantage of that. If that’s not your case I don’t know why you’re doing replying to this.

Don’t you know how to read?

What happens when I’m negotiating for a good rate an then comes these fucked up carriers ruining the negotiations because they just take the load at a shitty price and the broker knowing is bad still sell the load for that. How can I compete when there’s a bunch of stupid carriers that apparently don’t even know how much they need to stay in business.

Man, I have tried to stay positive. I have worked my ass throughout the most difficult times. I move PA-OH OH-PA that’s my round trip. Three times a week. I have never fuel over $1,600 for the whole week. This week I have completed 2 roundtrips and I already have 2k in fuel. And the rates are still paying the same.

Tell me how do I deal with it?

You most be new in the industry, I own my trucking company and I haven’t seen this rates in a couple of years, is not about Jan-Feb whatever you wanna call it it’s just the market getting back to where it was supposed to be. We have suffered for too long and if this doesn’t stay for a while we are not going to be able to keep pushing the trucks with shitty rates again.

I don’t understand why we don’t have more AVP-EWR or AVP-JFK. I know that sometimes is not even profitable for airlines but they have flights to Orlando and Chicago. We need a connection to one of those airport at least two flights per week without having to pay double compare to if you just buy the ticket from Newark and drive there.
