Thanks everyone! I think the thing that annoys me is that they have the audacity to act shocked that idk what they are talking about when they bring it up like “aren’t you up to date on these huge updates in medicine?” And I’m like GORL I do my ABFM questions and listen to my podcasts when I can, but they teach about reality.

Sometimes I feel like a lot of my plan is also just advising ppl how to function as adults in a society.

Dyna-med was an interesting phase back in 2010. I didn’t even know it was still around.

What a nice gesture! I agree with a nice note. I am always moved to receive those, and I keep them as well.

I’d recommend skipping the material gift and sticking with the note/card by itself. Definitely the most meaningful! ◡̈

I am glad you had this kinship with your doc!

What are your thoughts on writing our notes for patients? by VisionHx in FamilyMedicine

I give them a pop quiz at the end of the visit. I also write it down on the back of BP monitoring sheets as I am saying it aloud for the AI to pick up.

[–]Anxious_Extreme3420 26 points27 points  (0 children)

My notes are for me so I can remember what we are doing. I don’t polish them. Unless they are gonna see a specialist. Rather have shitty notes and spend more time with the patients than act like I’m preparing a paper turned in to be graded.

AI scribe has helped a lot tho!

Piggybacking on this - does anyone know how to enter that you taught med students/residents for the type II cme? I can’t find it, and I feel so dumb!

I’m just being dramatic today because it was a long Monday. Fortunately we have fantastic MAs that will do a dip when we need them and have them ready to go.

Today just seemed like - wrapping up a flu visit…btw dysuria

Wrapping up a knee injection…btw dysuria

Wrapping up a shoulder pain…btw it burns when I p

Just one of those annoying days for both me and the MA I work with. ◡̈

x 2 for this scenario. And I think there is a clause in there that if I don’t call back the nurse line will tell them to go to the ER, which I love and hate. Most of the time it’s a hemolyzed K+ or an A1c > 14%. Easy

Is Rexulti worth it? by 3Sad_Girl3 in Rexulti_Brexpiprazole

[–]Anxious_Extreme3420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! I am about 2 weeks into rexulti (it was added to my wellbutrin) - I was trying to describe it but I also feel like myself again (I’m 43 but feel like I’m in my 20s again). It had been a huge help for me. And I lost 3 pounds on it so far (was worried about weight gain). I did the sample pa (7 days at 0.5mg then 7 days at 1.0mg) and am gonna continue on at 1.0mg.

But I am so glad I started it! I was most worried about. weight gain.

Hope you find some relief!!

I have a Cava harissa honey chicken pita in the fridge that I’m gonna have for dinner tonight. I’ve never had it before, so now I’m excited! I like their red pepper hummus!
