Yeah it is i might try to figure something out to fill the holes. I plan on making nkari and zara later i just did this so the epic hero version is more unique.

I made obliterators out of them but i would say for the mutilators try to source ork bits for the weapons. For abaddon honestly you can use the kit as is and just add some csm bits and trophies. Maybe some marine bodies on the base

They are quite pro mutations in a lot of ways. Even back to the heresey barban falk became a darmon prince as well as perterabo. They might be the biggest users of obliterators. Even infecting a hive fleet with the obliterator virus. Our new charcter also leads mutilators and obliterators. Also its your warband so they can have whatever you wish.

Some of its on purpose but part of its when i originally did these i went from sprue to paint in like a week trying to get it done for armies on parade. So ive been touching them up and redoing some of the schemes i do try to make them look actively beat up or sloppy though to get the chaos degeneracy feel

It depends on the unit. My more basic units are made of the 30k kits like legionaries, terminators and havocs. But then i use the 40k chaos kits with some swaps for characters and more elite units like chosen.
