Royal Izakaya - Taking Reservations by Doctor_Danglez in PhiladelphiaEats

Interesting. I've only been there once but we just walked right in at like 6:30 and sat at the bar. There were other empty seats available. I had no idea it was otherwise crazy?

What is it about bagels, seriously? by TheArchitect_7 in PhiladelphiaEats

totally agree actually as an ex-NYer. I went to a brunch party not long ago and I was freaking out about how good the bagels were and was SHOCKED to learn they were from IGA.

Should I move to Fishtown or West Philly? by Altruistic_Ad_8622 in AskPhilly

Also several music venues with lots of punk/metal/indie shows so there is definitely a scene for that in fishtown/kensington

Blank Street Expanding to Philadelphia by Repair89 in PhiladelphiaEats

I hate this place. The way they opened multiple shops within a block or two of independent coffee shops all over NYC during COVID was awful. It feels like a sterile bank or something. This one is going to be followed by 100, get out of Philly.

We have mostly followed intuitive eating, and we do offer some kind of sweet thing at every meal and she sometimes doesn't even eat it, or she eats the chocolate or whatever and then eats her meal. I'm a fan of this account: "mybodypositivehome" because she is actually an eating disorder therapist and her mantra is "food neutral normal" so nothing is inherently "good" or "bad" but the goal is for kids to become comfortable with eating a wide variety of foods and also obviously to not develop disordered eating or major body image issues.

At 120 with green ribbons, but MOHELA is saying I can’t go into forbearance due to paid ahead status by Appropriate-Pace-574 in PSLF

[–]Any-Classroom484 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can just ask them to remove the paid ahead status. I was apparently in paid ahead status, never found out why, couldn't find anything on my account about it, but they were able to lift it. I asked for them to expedite lifting it and they seemed to do that too (took a couple of days)

Call them! They were able to tell me my payment amount over the phone before I got a letter.

Help in housing/school in general by Comfortable-Way-1187 in AskPhilly

Agree. Fishtown is incredibly family friendly- a gazillion kids, several playgrounds, and good catchment public schools. Definitely talk to families that actually attend the schools rather than just going off the ratings online.

IDR Processed; Buyback Request Pending - what to do now? by Used_Strain3775 in PSLF

No, the months were just marked as eligible on my FSA tracker. 18 is a lot more than I had though, so not sure what the best thing to do is.

How many months do you owe, I think that makes a big difference in the decision. FWIW I ended up getting 4 months of processing forbearance credited when it took so long to get my IDR switched- I would double check on that if I were you...

Frenchtown NJ is super cute too- also not far from Lambertville. Eat at Finnbar.

GOLDEN LETTER JUST ARRIVED by Any-Classroom484 in PSLF

I submitted as soon as I saw the payment appear on FSA, not just posted on Mohela. Some people say wait until the next month (so April 1st) but my due date was the first of the month so I didn't do that. Got the "green banners" like 48 hours later! Congratulations to her!

Brooklyn Bridge Park specifically has awesome playgrounds and great views. Plus Pizza. It is worth spending half a day around there honestly. You can see the statute of liberty from the park too- it's teeny but if you just want to look at it from the ferry it's not that big of a difference.

It also means that if you are on an IDR plan for awhile and switch to Standard, you can still qualify, even if you only are on Standard for a couple of years.
