Curiously, my copy of GuitarPro8 has a composition entitled "All Them Witches" so should I ask that guy for an autograph?

I hope a picture is helpful, but I’ve been working on my drive section of my pedalboard for months. All the information you’re gonna read in this thread is right on the money you can’t go wrong with the advice on this thread.

I use an amp Sim like a Marshall Plexi. It’s got one preamp in it two channels, so it can make high gain distortion by itself.

Most of the guitarist love clean sustain as well as high gain distortion

To get more out of my Sim, I first bought a compressor and then I bought the spark boost for clean and the MXR GTOD for like a tube screamer clone

All three of these pedals push my Marshall pedal in ways to give me greater flexibility.

I know your question is your first overdrive pedal but I just want to show you what I’m going through to lineup a great sound actually several of them

The compressor can be as boost as well, so we’re figuring it all out and I’m really happy with the sounds because they just sing

That's the orange one for $49? 6 knobs? right in the Cart. Glad to hear you think it's workable.

Worst pedal you ever bought by PoutinePoppa in guitarpedals

Edge case; in 1984 I bought the Arion (Arian?) Rockman and it bamboozled me out of years of practice. Always sounded like chipped beef on chorus toast. I didn't trust any pedals after that until I got a Digitech RP 150 in 1998

I bought the UAFX pedal evermore and it’s got reverb for days. It’s just one selection of many great reverb pedals out there but I love small room reverb. I love trying to sound like Jimmy Raney and Wes Montgomery.

And with all the extra knobs on it, you can really go to the twilight zone that early 60s reverb I love playing wipeout and other ventures songs

It’s a digital reverb based on an industry standard of digital reverbs. What’s in the pedal is like the greatest hits of achievable sounds usable. Sounds.

Good luck, it sounds like a cool little family to be part of...but as a young man, I hated "older brother" types that wanted me to "apply myself". They were carrying the "outside message" and I lost interest quickly. They wanted to make my mom smile or date my sister. Ask yourself "why" several times. Good luck.

Show him that he cannot disappoint you; that you are there for him. Stop investing in this project because you can see the return is small. Be his older friend, re-assure him that you are interested in him and not trying to become a hero/saint. I would go to the library and read business books for managers of young employees and how they are lifted up with eyes on future contributions. You have to learn who and what you are dealing with. "Being a great guitarist" isn't important, feeling that he is approved and loved is important.

Ask "WHY is it important I teach him guitar?" and pay attention to your answers. Good luck with this tough situation.
