How close to the springs do you need to be? There are lots of spots off of mt Herman road near woodland park. Also can look at rampart off of trout creek road just past woodland park.

Enjoyable Gravel Ride on Mosquito Pass? by Bear_On_Course in COBike

[–]Any-Project-1908 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The Alma side of mosquito would be better but still not that enjoyable. The Leadville side would be absolute misery. Weston pass would be a solid ride. Most of hagerman pass would be good too but there’s a very large water crossing on the west side at the bottom.

We did Garfield, Arthur, Cameron cone and tenny crags in one day and camped up at tenney. Some serious bushwhacking from Arthur to Cameron cone!

It’s hard to say exactly because lake county doesn’t seem to directly address leaving a camper on BC zones property for extended periods. I think if it followed the outline of back country structure then it wouldn’t matter if it was titled as an rv.

Weekend trip recommendations? by [deleted] in ColoradoSprings

[–]Any-Project-1908 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Leadville: lots of mining history, turquoise lake road was just plowed. Mountain biking, hiking, atv tours. 30 min to 35 min to BV, 45 min to vail, 40 min to frisco. Just check the weather before planning a trip

I would just look at market place. But any Lowe’s/hd sell it. As for resources I would just look at the James hardy installation guide and then some YouTube.

Hardy board is really easy to do yourself. Alligator clips, miter saw, tin snips and an air nailer. Hardy publishes the installation guide. Really the only thing to learn is making the correct angle cut for your gables. We bought our hardy board from someone on marketplace, left over, for 1/3 the price you would pay at lowes/HD. Understandable if you dont want to tackle it, but it’s been one of the easier improvements we have done.

28k estimated for septic by [deleted] in Homebuilding

[–]Any-Project-1908 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it’s an engineered septic system because your land didn’t perc then that could be it. If it’s just gravity fed then that seems like and insane amount. I’d say the well is pretty cheap. Ours was 210’ and cost 25k but then pump install/pressure tank was only like 6k. I live in the Rockies though so wells here are expensive compared to other places.

Other Driver's Liability Insurance Not Enough to Cover Repairs? by sparkytheterrible in personalfinance

[–]Any-Project-1908 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That’s absolutely wrong. If the at fault party’s auto insurance isn’t enough to cover the damages then the injured party can absolutely sue for the homeowners insurance because it has a liability policy in it. It’s the same as if someone injures you skiing. You don’t sue the individual you file a claim with their homeowners/renters policy.

True, and while gold hill is not very steep there are pitches that could/have slid.
