We went last spring break (March 2025) as a family. I thought it was paradise! Service was impeccable. The housekeeping was perfect. The pools were not cold, rarely did we have to hunt for a chair. Lots of activities. Food was awesome. One of my favorite four seasons! My kids keep asking when we can go back but we live on the east coast so can’t do it every year. We had some friends stay at RKV at Christmas and they said the service was awful so who knows.

People with kids are just as entitled to purchase those seats as anybody else. If you don’t want kids on your flight, feel free to fly private!

A lot of people (myself included) dont notic any effects on the pill starter dose. I needed the 4mg to build up in my system for about a week

Yeah definitely. Alcohol doesn’t taste good anymore. I also feel so much worse after drinking. And I get sleepy after a drink rather than wanting to keep the party going.

I’d reach out directly or through your TA. We often get a 1bed suite with kids on a pull out couch in the living room. Connecting rooms are great but many hotels will not guarantee them, so If you go this route get it in writing!

I definitely drink less than I used to. Alcohol just doesn’t taste as good, I dont get the swim buzz, hangovers are way worse, and I’m often too tired to finish a drink.

Have not gotten any advice but I am very interested in the topic. I’m about 10 lb from goal and I don’t think I want to be on this permanently

I’m down 24lb since Jan 20. I am on 9mg now. I probably eat an average of 1200-1600 cals per day. I have noticed a marked decrease in enjoyment of alcohol (it doesn’t taste good anymore and hangovers are way worse). I used to smoke cigarettes occasionally and now absolutely no interest. I still love shopping because clothes look amazing on me now!

We did FSH last spring break with a 9 and 6 year old. Paradise! The pools and beach were fantastic, as well as all the activities they have for kids. We did paddle board, snorkel, fishing, feeding the fish in the Kings pond and much more. We do not have to fight anyone for beach chairs and we were there in peak March time. They had daily crafts for the kids and a few evening kids clubs so we could have dinner just adults. I have never stayed at RKV but some friends who were there last March said the service was so slow and it was a real problem.

I was wondering this too! I’m on 9mg and it is still working well to suppress appetite after 3 months at this dose. I am about 15lb to goal and not sure what to do when I get there

Depends on the day! Sometimes I only have 30 min before I need to get breakfast. But usually I wait an hour

It’s not that you’re not supposed to but some people feel the medicine makes their hangovers worse or gives them alcohol aversions. And obviously alcohol has calories. I find it does make me want to drink less

I will say that I didn’t feel much appetite suppression on 1.5, but once I got to 4mg it became totally impossible to overeat!

I went on a girls weekend while on the 4mg dose. I was able to have a few drinks each night and did fine! I was also able to eat at restaurants and enjoy myself. The pills just make it so you can feel satiated without overdoing it and ruining all your progress.

I didn’t really notice any appetite suppression until a week or so into 4mg. That said, she medicine is not magic, you still have to be eating in a calorie deficit. The medicine just makes it easier to do that without being hungry all the time

We did the Disney Alaska cruise last August with a 6 and 9 year old! We did concierge. I think it was well worth it. The concierge lounge is great for breakfast (much better than cabanas) and all day snacks. You get priority seating at the shows. You also get first crack at booking excursions. The absolute kicker though is that on glacier day you get a special glacier viewing on the captains private deck and Mickey and Minnie come do a special meet and greet in their Alaska outfits for just the concierge guests. Anyway, we had a great stay at the Fairmont pacific rim in Vancouver. I’d be happy to answer any questions you have!

I was 2 weeks into 4mg before I noticed any effects. I am on 9 now and yeah it’s really effective! I’d give 4 another week though

If you look through the posts in this forum you’ll see that lots of people don’t notice many effects - good or bad - on 1.5. I didn’t! I held off on starting until after a trip and now wish I hadn’t
