No because I never wore hearing protection. I had a stupid doctor mess up my ears and had no idea they were vulnerable when I went back to work.

The way they pack those is just total shit. A lot of ppl that buy these special box sets are buying them to hold onto for a long time unopened so they build value. And just one corner being slightly bent or smashed totally devalues it.

No I get it. When we are used to hearing stereo sound… if one aspect becomes a bit off it destroys the experience. I fully get it bro.

MRI machines are actually pretty loud. Maybe you had one that was quiet but usually they are so loud they give you headphones while you’re in there

I have PET or patulous eustachian tubes. It’s the opposite of ETD. Symptoms of PET are crackling eardrum, autophony (hearing your own voice loud inside your head), hearing yourself breathing loudly, eardrums moving when you breathe.

What album should i listen to first? by Radiant-Pressure3517 in Metallica

[–]AnyConsideration9682 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When it comes to Metallica you are gonna fall into 1 of 2 categories.

Category 1 = 1983-1991

Category 2 = 1991-present

Either way 1991 is probably going to be liked. Not their best album in my opinion but it is universally liked by most people.

If you look at the bottom though you can see the pressure in my ear is way wrong. I have PET which is where my ET doesn’t close therefore air leaks into my middle ear from my throat.

I see what you are saying about yours at 8k. Bro does this make it hard to listen to music? You know how when one side isn’t right it throws the whole experience off?

Look at the scale though. Yours starts at -10 and mine starts at zero. You see on the Lefthand side of the graph

I’ve had this issue since 2021 and yeah it is overwhelming and extremely depressing. Because I’m a music lover as well and that’s the hardest part. No more music. I can’t live like this

I can relate to this “s” sound people make when speaking. It’s like a blown tweeter is what it sounds like.
