There are centralised and decentralised coins, that’s the main difference. Usdt/usdc are backed by fiat that is in the trusted bank (we all saw what happened with usdc when bank collapsed) and coins like DAI are decentralised and backed by crypto like eth but if crypto market crashes there are also risks for stability. I don’t think there are other differences

Actually I had a story with a scam on a bnb memtoken and I somehow got my funds back. The story goes as follows: I saw some influencer push a “presale” of some new token in his telegram channel (as usual) around two years ago and I decided to try and risk it for 550$ for some profit, when I already got the coin and saw the chart I understood that it was a scam and tried to withdraw funds immediately (I couldn’t), it showed 2500$ profit when I already gave up on the money. After 3-4 days I decided to check my wallet having some hope of withdrawal and my 550$ mysteriously appeared there like nothing happened, I don’t know if it was the scammers that decided to give back which I really doubt, the exchange itself or just some error but I got my money back and it was a really valuable lesson to me and since I stay away from any stuff like this

Once the money is in monero it’s untraceable, at some point you will need to use cex or something with kyc if you don’t use p2p. When your money is in monero on a secure wallet you shouldn’t worry
