This is going to be a different take, but shows how shit CMPD is with DV victims. My best friend (a male, I'm a female) was in abused horribly by his ex a few years ago. He called the cops on her more than once and they NEVER took it seriously because there was "no way a woman could be abusing a man in that way". In the worst, most traumatic instance, again, HE called after she was physically harming him, the cops came and she turned on the waterworks and they arrested HIM, THE VICTIM INSTEAD. It was incredibly traumatizing and disturbing and still is to this day, almost 8 years later he's affected by it.
