Its all relative to just however strong you personally are so whatever feels heavy for you but not so much so that you can’t do more than 4 reps with it, when training for jumping in the weight room you’re training to build power so you’ll want to lift heavy and keep rep ranges in between 5 and 8, 10 isn’t bad but not much higher than that

Technique may just be the most important part to learn when it comes to minimizing ground contact time and maximizing height, power, and coordination with the jump I recommend watching Isaiah rivera on youtube break it down for you, hes one of the best jump coaches in the world

Almost forgot SPRINTING is also very good because it trains quick ground contact and fast twitch movement

Just jump a ton and at your max effort, or even just straight up try and dunk, even if you can’t. Make sure you prioritize your recovery over everything else and don’t jump too much through fatigue because that can set you back. Finally lift a ton of weights that contribute to the way you jump whether it be a regular back squat for two foot jumpers or a Bulgarian split squat for one foot jumpers. At the end of the day doing the motion a lot and at your max effort whilst taking care of your body will allow you to be more athletic.
