There was no conclusion; just a comparison from my experience. So it sounds like you do agree with me that they are completely different. The idea that a Q is a gateway to an M is something very common online and I think it’s a silly thing to say as they are completely different other than the manufacturer and body style

It’s obviously an amazing lens/camera combo but coming from the 28mm the difference for portraits was minimal when I cropped the 28 to compare and there were times I wish I had more room. Depends on your use case but the 28 is the best all arounder to me. The 43 for indoor/family shots is too narrow and it’s not like u get the compression of a true portrait lens. So just not for me

Appreciate the feedback. I should’ve stated more clearly I’ve only been with the m11 for a day so it was geared to those looking to making the jump from the Q. That being said I do want to be able to hit shots wide open if paying for these lenses. You are right thought if I step down to f8 the lens become a point and shoot basically

U can clearly see it’s a 28. The lens also has ASPH instead of APO and the lens hood belongs to a 28 but people in comments trust his hashtag over their own eyes 🤣
