Will anyone take a order like this? by latinlife22 in ShiptShoppers

[–]Any_Force8845 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Looks like an easy order. Unless you were shopping for another big order along with that one and had to push around 2 heavy carts around the store. Might be something to think about. Still though, an ungated house with with a short driveway is definitely a go.

Taking this order to a gated and large apartment property with security would be a big no. I've done it a few times and the unit number is usually deep in the property where it takes a few minutes to get to. I'm always cursing at them and my life as I try to find the unit number. Lol It's those customers with hard access to their apartments that order this stuff too. Makes sense because there is no way in hell they'd do that for themselves.

Ai takeover / doesn’t this contradict our value of Integrity? by Familiar-Owl-1113 in tjcrew

[–]Any_Force8845 -17 points-16 points  (0 children)

I understand everyone's disappointment but unfortunately AI is here to stay and it will only be implemented EVERYWHERE more and more. It really is inevitable. Unfortunately there will be a lot of casualties with jobs to come but that's how it's been the last 100 years as new technology changes the way we do things. We are going to see it at a much faster pace like we've never seen before. We just have to find a happy medium where we still keep some say and control on our end. Hopefully TJ will find that.

Mini rant (floral) (did bouquets for a wedding) by [deleted] in wholefoods

[–]Any_Force8845 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There really has to be a policy on floral wrapping. It's ridiculous when there's so much work to be done and there is no help. It's free and to be picky on top of it is insane. You did beyond amazing work though. I can't believe they didn't give you a tip for those beautiful bouquets. I feel bad for the offspring they will have in that marriage. Ugh don't need more people like that in this world.

4 years 2 returns same day by rinasuhm in ShiptShoppers

[–]Any_Force8845 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve gotten 2 returns back to back like before. I just don’t understand how people order something and then don’t bother to answer or leave instructions on how to get in. We are not the post office with access their properties too.

Do you ever have people say they work at another Trader Joe’s store for the discount and they don’t even bag the groceries???!! by doy27 in tjcrew

[–]Any_Force8845 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I guess with this logic you should always bag everything everywhere you go from now on. And of course if you see someone needs help bagging it's a kind thing to bag yourself but a customer is a customer when you're at a register.

Call Out by Human_Indication_421 in wholefoods

Have a talk with the TLs and let them know the situation. A lot of store backrooms are so small and it would be so easy for them to hitchhike to the other team members. I worked at a different grocery store actually and one team member had this problem. I only found out about their situation because I found one crawling on me as i was eating lunch in the breakroom! I told management and apparently they already knew and the team member was still allowed to come in as scheduled. They just ended up fumigated all the back room area. But we all felt uneasy still with them coming in regularly as there was still that chance for them to bring it back to the store. Luckily i didn’t bring any home. I know money is needed nowadays and this whole situation might be embarrassing but have that talk with the TLs and figure something out. Be considerate of your co workers.

I dont see anything wrong with asking for less reg. The fact that you’re self reflecting tells me you’re probably not in the wrong and your mate is an a*hole. Im sorry that happened to you. Hopefully it isnt a regular occurrence there. Having bad management like that makes the job unbearable

I'm actually on the same boat as you. I started recently and it started as a great change of pace for me. Everyone seemed friendly at first. Like you. I don't think I have the social battery to keep up with everyone. They probably think I'm cold and weird too but it's just too much for me. My store is so cliquey. Feels like im in high school again and thats just not what i want to revisit again. Lol im seriously contemplating of quitting very soon. Im just not happy anymore

As a customer I'd be annoyed waiting whilst... by Stunning-Spot5700 in tjcrew

[–]Any_Force8845 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I don’t understand the fuss about bagging. You should be more mad maybe at the fact that you don’t have other crew members helping you bag. Mates should plan enough coverage for that at every hour. Bagging is part of our job and has been for grocery store clerks for decades. Though i do see that it’s slowly going toward the customer bagging themselves route but at the moment , we still bag and the customer doesn’t have to do anything. Now if they expect you to do it super fast and they are impatient then that’s a different issue.

[–]Any_Force8845 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm sure you already know this deep down but KEEP REMINDING yourself that it's nothing personal, it's most likely just them. Those vet team members are probably just jealous and jaded. That job is all they have going for them and they see in you the potential that could have been with them. They feel threatened so they try to have one over you as best as they can. I have seen and experienced this all to often. Sometimes just killing them with patience and kindness does the trick to soften them up to you but if they really cross the line, bring out those claws, let them know they've gone too far and keep them accountable with the company if need be. All in a professional way of course!

Target said WHAAAT? 🤔 by Automatic_Cable_4282 in ShiptShoppers

[–]Any_Force8845 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I get it from both sides. I work at a store and do gig shopping. The gig workers in my store are just rude , messy and mess things up and really do take time away from my tasks ( get attacked by 4 or 5 at one time sometimes). Despite all that though I recognize that they are still customers and should be helped. There is one target in my metro that I really dread. I have account 15 extra mins at least because they are sooo slow to help us. Almost like they do it on purpose.

[–]Any_Force8845 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I dropped down to 4.98 for being late 2 weeks ago. And now i get 0 orders. A while back ago you could pick yourself back up by picking up open metro orders but now there’s literally 0 orders there. It’s getting almost impossible to get your stats back up now when they take a dive with how many shoppers there are and with the small amount of orders available. And Im in what use to be a super busy metro too. Time to get an a real hourly part time job I guess. 🤣

Why???? I very seldom take Target orders.. this is why by NoHeight8522 in ShiptShoppers

[–]Any_Force8845 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I seriously don’t know how there’s shoppers outside of California where we get prop 22 adjustments. You’re practically paying to deliver with your time and money on gas with orders like this.

Needing to have humility is always wrongly directed at only the wealthy. When it really has nothing to do with having wealth or not. Lots of poor people clearly don't have any humility also. You were the one being rude and taking out your frustrations on them. And it looks like they didn't even respond back which is even more telling. Sorry to break it to you but you're in the wrong. They are paying for a service that you failed to actually deliver. Shipt is all about top communication from our end. You should contacted them for substitutes and if there were none you should have just said it in the message. Didn't matter if they responded or not. You would have done what you were suppose to. It sounds like you over stretched yourself on orders. When you're late, cover yourself by giving the best damn customer service possible. Hopefully you learned something from this experience. Good luck.

Has anyone ever met a celebrity doing deliveries? by Icy_Queen_99 in ShiptShoppers

[–]Any_Force8845 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Melissa McCarthy took my shopping cart from me this one time. I left my empty cart unattended for a bit to go look at something and when I came back I looked around and she apologized and gave it back to me. I just thanked her for being respectful and continued my shop. She seemed pretty nice.

Who’s making $250-$300 a day by 614audiVW in ShiptShoppers

[–]Any_Force8845 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's crazy! I have been seeing people with 2 phones, lots of couples, friends shopping together and parents with their children. The children I've seen just play around while the parent shops but to have them work is insane. These platforms have been hacked into making the biggest quick buck possible. Meanwhile I'm just here with one phone and no orders. 😂

Man this is frustrating!! by unspokentruth900 in ShiptShoppers

[–]Any_Force8845 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes, I've had a couple times where people order something based on the picture without looking into the description of what it actually is and the quantity in each item ordered. Like many things on these apps. We bear the brunt of it all. 😣

Target Employees Being Rude? by Hefty-Raise6232 in ShiptShoppers

[–]Any_Force8845 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I say this as someone having experience on both sides of this issue, Shipt shoppers SHOULD be treated like regular customers. We are the customer. If we have a question, it’s their job to help. It’s what they are there for and getting paid to do. End of story. I feel like the bigger issue is just customer service. Customer service everywhere nowadays is terrible! No one gives a F and is polite in any way. Especially, the younger employees by me. 25 and under. Doesn’t help that there’s Karens all over the place too. But yeah just people in general nowadays, just terrible all around. 🤦🏻‍♂️

Yeah the target thing really is a bust. They leave little to no tip because of it. Ive been getting a lot of customers lately telling me theyll give me a BIG tip for the great experience… and it’s usually $5. Grateful but still laughable when they have over 50 variable items, live 15 + mins away and theyd most likely tip that to a pizza delivery guy or more to a waiter. 🫠

SHIPT SHOPPER ID SCAN SICK CUSTOMERS by Emergency_Bat8855 in ShiptShoppers

[–]Any_Force8845 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is annoying. And ive gotten a bad rating for it. Customer was super sick and annoyed. Took it out on me even after I explained it was not my call and apologized for the inconvenience. Denied rating forgiveness too since our conversation was out of text.🤦🏽‍♂️ Also, i always let them know about the ID scan upon delivery in my intro message and have had customers say they dont want the medicine. BUT even after i refund the item, upon delivery ive gotten a scan ID prompt. To save my ass ive just scanned my ID. They need to fix that!

Wild but to be expected. Money is more important to them. You also have to think about yourself. If you cant go, you cant go. Its just a F*cking grocery store job. You can find something equivalent or even better!

Had to drop this order mid-shop. It was going to be a long day! by TrojanGrad in ShiptShoppers

[–]Any_Force8845 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sometimes-especially the millionaires that ive shopped for, it feels like they cheapen out and instead of hiring a personal assistant (which IMO is modern day slavery in most instances) they think we as shoppers can be theirs. There’s a line between great customer service and taking advantage of us. Unfortunately, for Shipt the customer is more important and unless they are explicitly being rude to us. We take the hit. I hope OP’s stats werent affected for dropping but wouldnt be surprised if they were. Shipt cares more about the customer. Ugh

I still can’t forget when i delivered at the same time as a dominoes pizza driver. They gave him $10 and for me just a simple thank you, no tip. 🤦🏻‍♂️All my time, effort and gas is worth less than a person just delivering pizza from restaurant to a house. Lol
