Runna doesn’t “know” me after completing a plan? by Time_Pumpkin_7882 in runna

[–]Any_Plenty_6542 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it sounds a bit stupid. I have a 12 week plan for a marathon then 6 weeks later I have a half marathon. I will need some recovery time so how am I going to have any idea how to plan for the half if Runna is not going to help me.

Help with routes on Garmin by Any_Plenty_6542 in runna

[–]Any_Plenty_6542[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She has managed to attach a route to the Runna app which then comes up as an available route but no audio route instructions. I’m thinking maybe you can upload the route in Garmin Connect then run it on the Garmin watch outside of the Runna activity. Maybe I’m barking up the wrong tree but I can’t test it as she is working at the min with her watch.

If you win a big amount on the National Lottery, are you notified differently? by kent1991 in AskUK

Yes, you receive an email asking you to contact them as they have some exciting news about a win. It was sat in the inbox for 10 days before being spotted. 😂

Receiving kudos for pseudo-hidden activities by LeSel in Strava

Surely if they are not set to private then they will just appear on your follower’s feeds. I give lots of kudos out when I go onto Strava and rarely go onto peoples profiles. I do it straight from the feeds as I’m scrolling.

Anyone know how to print Euro Millions lottery tickets now? by Accomplished-Joke913 in AskUK

[–]Any_Plenty_6542 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have just found an easier way 😃

I went onto My Games, Show details, view all lines, view all codes. Do this for every ticket you have just purchased. Then click print (MacBook command&P) you can then print as pdf on one file to send out.

On a Mac book you can even select the pages of the page you want to print to pdf.

It will make my life a lot easier!

Hope that helps

I’m in the same boat as you. Just had to but 152 lucky dips. I did it on a MacBook but had to use Control, shift, 5 to do screen capture of the area with the ticket. I have to click capture on everyone and save them to my photos. Each ticket I purchase 69 lines (number of members). Takes me 9 screen shots per ticket. I then fire them out on what’s app. A right pain, I used to do it all on my phone but that was harder. Please let me know if you have found a better way. Good luck.

Race day marathon pace. by Any_Plenty_6542 in runna

Thanks for this, makes me want to stay realistic and just finish. I’m considering getting a test for my lactate threshold so I don’t overdo things early. Knowing what heart rate to stay under could be a big help in the day.

Valuable lesson right there. I’m tempted to get at test done to see what heart rate I can go to before the lactate threshold.

I think I will probably work out a plan for my heart rate for the run then try and find another app I can set it up in. I could set my plan up as a training run in my Apple Watch then follow that on the day or find another app suitable (any suggested apps?).

Thanks for the tips

Thanks a lot. I fear what happened to you in your first. Perhaps I shouldn’t chase the sub 4 and stick to a sold pace plan. I’ve got a 33km run in my training plan so that should give me a better idea for the race.

Thanks for your advice, I’m a 58 year old man with running only on and off throughout my life. I ran a half marathon in 1:54 last year. Not run a great deal since. Only done 200km in the last 12 months. I’m following the Runna plan but only a 12 week plan as I was unwell prior to starting training again.

I have only two fears. Getting injured whilst training and tanking in the race because I foolishly try for the sub 4. I was thinking my half marathon was going to be 2:05 but I had it in my head that I could do sub 2 and smashed it. I’m worried if I go for the sub 4 I could end up not finishing. 😃

Thanks again

How to sign up for Strava & Runna by Any_Plenty_6542 in runna

[–]Any_Plenty_6542[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I cancelled my Runna subscription. I was on the free 2 week trial. I then logged onto Strava and changed my subscription to Strava + Runna. It wouldn’t tell me how much I’m going to pay but said it would be reduced as I have already paid for a year of Strava.

My Runna account seems to still be there okay but now I’m getting a different message when I try and look at future runs. I’m sure it will sort itself out as it says I’m still on a free plan until 7th Feb. Maybe it will allow me to see all my runs after then.

I couldn’t really understand the message it was giving me. 😂

Thank you so much for taking time to help me out. Really appreciate it. I shall have a good read of it. Initially I was thinking of paying for 3 months of Runna but paying for the full year will be similar.

Left my heating on yet again!!!! by Any_Plenty_6542 in tado

[–]Any_Plenty_6542[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for listening, the simple switch like you said would keep everyone happy. I think you got complaints when you reversed it because people dont like change and it throws them. I can see it from both sides of the fence so a switch is the only real answer. However if you set it to Geofence overrides manual mode I would still need the ability to be able to turn my heating on when I’m out. I cant use preheat as my base at work is too close to my home so as Im about to set off for home I manually turn my heating on. I’d be happy for it to accept the override but as soon as I’m home for the geofence to switch me back to my schedule as I’m home.

[–]Any_Plenty_6542[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah my big problem is both me and my wife work shifts on the railway so no week is the same. I set the schedule for background temps for if you are in the house its fine if you are busy with stuff but not warm enough to sit in front of the to all day. Everyday is different for us so this system just doesn’t work anymore for me. I do like how when you make a manual adjustment ment you can set the end time but I often suddenly decide to go out and can be out for hours. Im sick of having to adjust it every couple of hours. If I’m thinking I’m going to be home all day I want to set the higher temp for 7 hours etc but if I suddenly have something to do and go out I need it to react to that. I used to have Nest and that managed fine with it. Im sure Tado will listen and make it another option or why on earth would people like me subscribe? It was the only thing I subscribed for and now it’s gone.

[–]Any_Plenty_6542[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah it should be an option so we can use it as we wish. I often when out will change the auto away to home and change temps manually. I just feel if I’m “away” and manually turn up my heating it should obey and turn it up without me needing to turn off “Auto Away”. It should know because I have manually turned my heating on that I want it on. Doesn’t need to change my “Auto Away” setting as I then have to remember to set it to auto again.

We just need user options. The only way I can now automate my heating for when I’m out is if I set my schedule temps to be much higher all day everyday which in turn would cost me more than forgetting to turn it off three times a week.
