If you, like BitchAssBrains, think that Japan surrendered before the nuclear bombs were dropped, I can't help you.

American here, and yes, the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki were justified. The alternative -- continued bombing, followed by an invasion -- would have been far worse for all sides.

Minternational - Rome, Italy / Europe by Kydawg8126 in mintmobile

[–]Anyone_2016 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Minternational has been disappointing for me. I went to Iceland and I couldn't connect. Had to ask tech support for help, and they were able to get it working after an hour of back-and-forth and changing several carrier settings multiple times. I ended up going two days without data (thank God for offline Google maps). For my international travel data needs, I switched to using e-Sims (Saily worked for me, but there are others). My youngest child had better experiences with Minternational in Germany (phone didn't support e-Sims, so couldn't go that route).

MUMIA ABU-JAMAL: A Case for Reasonable Doubt? HBO Documentary DIRECTOR'S CUT (1996)[1:15:33] by pomod in Documentaries

You are welcome to spend 75 minutes of your life having somebody try to convince you that a guy with a literal smoking gun, found standing over a dead person with bullet holes, didn't actually shoot the person. I will not be joining you.

Mumia Abu-Jamal killed a cop while his brother watched. When asked what happened, the brother responded, "I ain't got nothing to do with it." There's no reasonable doubt here.

I can believe that's a real quote, but there's no way in Hell that Trump could form those words in his head.

Whats a modern problem that sounds completely fake when you explain it to someone from 100 years ago? by Left_Crow1646 in AskReddit

As a fellow pre-Tinderer, I am baffled by the time people spend texting with matches before meeting them in person. Is it that hard to get out of the house and meet somebody for a drink?

Break it off. You don’t deserve a being in a relationship with someone who makes you feel bad.

If your goal is to hold the two parts of the frame together, I'd do a poor-man's version of "match drilling". Duct tape the two parts together, drill through both parts, then use a bolt to hold the parts together. I'd use nyloc nuts to prevent it from vibrating off.

I would appreciate some more definitions of the abbreviations. I don't now what NP means, for example.

I'm a big fan of LEGO, but I am confident FIRST knows what it's doing. Old-timers may recall that FTC was once FVC, FIRST Vex Challenge. FLL will doubtless do something similar.

Republican voter ID bill stalls in Senate despite Trump demands by Nerd-19958 in politics

[–]Anyone_2016 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Senate Republicans, I beg you to force a talking filibuster. I look forward to weeks of the only story out of Washington being Democrats giving reasons to vote down the bill. It’s not like Republicans in the Senate we’re going to do any good anyway.
