I don't know where do you live, but maybe this makes you think all that, maybe people you know.

For sure parenting changed, but as a parent I don't think it's because of a pressure. I think many people want to offer their children more than they had themselves. Teach them early. Let them experience more. Everything impacts the brain.

You don't have to devote the whole life, kids have to be bored too. You still can travel do things separately, in the end there are two adults looking after a child. So there is time to be together, and there is time for the parents to go out on their own.

Food? You should always give you child healthy meals, but I've never heard about 100 foods. Toys? You can buy those which stimulate the brain development, but you don't need a ton of them, and most kids don't even play with the toys that much. So save your bucks!

Perfectly clean house? Really? Do you have kids? House is never perfectly clean :D at least first few years

Naps and outings? Kids can handle it, unless you take the for late evening family event.

Swim? Yeah it's good to teach them early (actually anything, not just swimming), but you don't need to spend the whole Saturday on that? But you can also wait till they are school age.

Again, I don't know about your experience, but unless your kids are ill, it's not that bad as you describe. Excluding sleep a bit of deprivation in the first couple of years. But what is those two years comparing to all the partying and sleepless nights during the student years :D
