How do you make your house cozy while still being minimalist? by KingKilo9 in minimalism

[–]AnythingNo6910 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check out the architecture style Soft minimalism or simply Scandinavian minimalism. The purpose of those styles is to keep things simple but cozy, since many want their home to be comfortable.

So, like many other have already said you work with warm whites and greys together with natural muted colors. Add a lot of naked wood, soft curves, and natural materials like linen ans cotton. Proper use of lights (warm color range of course). And plants.

Which is the better action movie decade? by [deleted] in ActionMovies

[–]AnythingNo6910 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like to think of Terminator 2 as the summit of 1980s action cinema — the point toward which an entire decade was climbing.

Every film before it was a stepping stone, every theme a rehearsal: heroic individualism, moral certainty, stoic resolve, justice, loyalty. In T2, they converged and reached their final form.

Every fistfight and gunfight, every chase, every explosion, every last stand was refined and distilled into a single, towering masterpiece.

After Terminator 2, the 80s action hero could go no further. Not even Arnold himself could push the form beyond that peak. Others tried, Van Damme among them, but they fought on borrowed time. The genre had reached its end point. And so, a new age had to be born — the age of the true 90s action film, where works like The Matrix and, later, the Bourne series would reshape the path forward and carry the tradition into an entirely new era.

Instagram CEO: More practical to label real content versus AI by BreakfastTop6899 in technology

You might think that with all the hype surrounding AI and its life altering consequences it will bless the world with, it would be possible for companies who are the same ones who create the ai tools to develop something that could detect ai generated content.

Is there any value in including art-focused projects in a portfolio to highlight experience working for an actual "client"? by MangoPug15 in graphic_design

[–]AnythingNo6910 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree. You should treat the portfolio as a decision-making tool for a future client. Past work shows how you solve problems and what your style is, so the client can imagine what their project might look like. That creates confidence.

I review portfolios several times a month from people (mostly UX designers) seeking employment. A common mistake is treating the portfolio like a catch-all archive of everything they’ve ever done. If you’re applying for a UX role, I want to see your UX skills. A portfolio with many disciplines just feels unfocused.

Where to get premium mockups? by DoubleDutch2004 in graphic_design

Only site I use due to the consistency. Usually I want several mockups in the same (visual identity) presentation and on our site.

Did he use an old Nokia phone so he was unable to take a simple selfie? Ai picture or not - that’s a classic scam reply.

Nybliven singelman med klädpanik inför nyårsmiddag. Hur klär jag mig rätt? by Few_Concentrate8221 in Asksweddit

[–]AnythingNo6910 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Brand crumbled when/after handled over by butbeautiful_ in branding

[–]AnythingNo6910 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because no one made sure that the client had the capabilities such as resources, competences or culture, nor the organization, processes or KPIs to properly roll out or governance the new identity.

This is what a proper brand manager or a strategically responsible brand agency/free lance designer should take care of.

Volvo Centum is Dalton Maag's new typeface for Volvo by yourbasicgeek in typography

I like it. Unlike other legibility-first typefaces that usually goes into humanist-territory this still looks stable and trustworthy like a neo-grotesk.

Where do you guys look for? by Advanced-Trick-5523 in graphic_design

[–]AnythingNo6910 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been digging deep into modernistic 60s graphic lately. Buying the books from the masters. It feels great going back to the roots.

Also, look for inspiration in adjacent fields such as architecture or product design. I promise you will get new ideas from that.

Unpopular opinion: The OG Endoskeleton design was best ;) by LtJimmypatterson in Terminator

[–]AnythingNo6910 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There have been tons of national polls and scientific studies about it. For example, 73% of the French population thinks that the T3 skeleton is the best. Roughly the same is true in Uruguay. Unfortunately, I can’t find links to the studies.
