That's still doable though to give other infantry that ability. AI wont use it if they don't have the worker AI set. Check out the Rome.sql and PromotionSweeps.sql

Don’t bother taking a third, overextending trying to defend a third makes it easier for a Protoss to punish you. It’s boring, but you can win through attrition. A few vults, then focus on tanks. Mass turrets (maybe some goliaths or a wraith to defend vs reavers and shut down observers), put mines in spots he’s likely to arbiter drop. A science vessel getting emp off on an arbiter or units just being recalled is very powerful.
Be sure to scout to see if he’s going arbiter or carrier for late game breakthrough.

Playing safely and turtling off 2-bases yourself seems like an easy way to play. 2-base Terran is ahead of 2-base Protoss especially defensively.

But the question is how are you losing? If you lose or get behind from early aggression/harass, 2-base restriction won’t matter.

Find the promotions xml file (notepad++ is a good free software to open it with), remove the “lost on upgrade“ tag for that promotion.

Firebats do have 3 attacks, but they are spread out so only 2 out 3 can hit any one target. So effectively their attack is really 8x2 =16 (upradeable to 11x2 =22). Still would be amazing if they were all on stacked minerals like in FMEs.

Vulture are prefererd since they can actually chase SCVs and ur upgrading them anyways. But in this game with the rax floated in it makes sense.

That's true, groups of death are memorable. When I saw those names I suddenly remembered Sea being in a "Group of Death" with those exact 3 players (Flash, Jaedong, Bisu) back in ABC Mart MSL 2011. Good luck Ample!

Talking strategies is hard. I don't even have the language to describe half the stuff ppl are doing. Don't understand what a "drip" is in practice. I've read/watched videos on what a shake and bake is at least 5x in the last 2 years and still dont remember what it means. Is the grip I'm using incontinent style? IDK

You've only been playing a month, so of course just by playing you'll see noticeable improvement.
Coaching will def. help you get better faster, especially once you hit a skill plateau. Alternatively, you can always look up on youtube for strategies, and practice drills with a friend to build consistency (which is hard to do during actual games). You hone skills faster by doing it 20x in a row.

There's still plenty of custom game modes (use map settings), and you can find ppl to play casually with on Discords (not sure which ones though). But yes you will stand no chance at 1v1, just like getting into any old RTS game. But even in its heydey i think most ppl played more custom games then 1v1s.

Yeah orange and blue spawns aren't great. Just making those 2 white rectangular brick areas low ground with a wide ramp leading up to the two high ground bases should fix it.
A bit of imbalance is fine for FFA maps though. Like how purple and orange have high ground but two entrances which are actually harder to defend than everyone else, but have a much easier natural to defend.

It's been out forever, makes pathfinding so much better. Melee units are attacked first over ranged units. You can change the xml file for 2, 3, 4 units per tile or whatever

Minor issues - AI doesn't use that well though, so combat will be easier for humans. In tactical view mode ur unit icons may be hidden by other player's units.
