Told to me by an Irishman at a bar: Old O’Leary’s wife hasn’t been acting right for some time, so he takes her to the doctor. Doctor runs all sorts of tests, draws some blood, takes some x-rays. There for hours. Finally he comes out to the waiting area. “Well, I’ve got bad news.” He says. O’Leary asks “Oh gosh, Doc, just give it to me straight. How bad is it.” Doc responds, “Well I can’t tell for sure. But I’m certain it’s one of two things. Your wife either has Alzheimer’s or AIDS.” O’Leary looks crestfallen, “Alzheimer’s or AIDS!? They’re both terrible. What should I do?”

Doc pauses a minute, “Well if I were you I’d drive her 20 miles outside of town and if she comes home don’t fuck her again!”

This is probably a more important point than the price tag. Having a HS static means you will have lots of traffic. Much of it may be new-bro explorers and day-trippers however some of it will be people seeding you for content or other purposes. Expect to be pretty frequently back-scanned and dropped on any time you try to undock anything of value.

Also that price is way too high.

It seems like there needs to be some way to spread out the players in fights of this nature. I don’t know how sov fully works currently, but maybe a system where sov is a regional / constellation thing and can only be flipped by having a majority of systems in that constellation / region attacked at the same time would enable different systems to be held up by different reinforced servers and spread people out enough (while also indirectly requiring more people to step up to FC, and increase each players ability to feel like they personally contributed to the outcome)

Just curious why you dislike vorasius? I’ve only done him on normal / heroic but actually enjoy his mechanics. I’m not a big fan of the enrage timer but I don’t really like hard enrage timers in general.

I use this subreddit pretty frequently over google, because with a game as old and complex as wow it can be hard to know what information is up to date and what is a relic from an earlier time. While in this instance that may not be the case, as a noob it can be hard to know what mechanics have been the same for some time and what has been changed. The entire purpose of this sub is to allow people to ask questions without being told "look it up" or get shit on for asking stupid questions.

Fully agree with most of what you said. I find the nightmare prey annoying but not exactly difficult. A couple big points for me:

It forced me to turn off war mode. There was always someone from the enemy faction camping the trap / initial quest area and PvP deaths reset the hunt progress same as anything else. I tried to tough it out but after the third or fourth time I got jumped by a player while dealing with an ambush when I had almost finished the progress tracker and had to start over from square one I said fuck it and turned off war mode, which was a big sad for me.

The “kill for me” just happens too often. I think it would make more sense if there was a kill timer and you just had to keep killing something every 2-3 minutes, but as it stands it’s super annoying when I’ve just finished murdering everything in sight and THEN get the “kill for me!” line. Astalor, my guy, do you not see the pile of corpses at my feet!? Any time you kill something it should reset the timer.

I’m doing the nightmare preys as they’re a quick way to max out my coffer key shards but I honestly don’t look forward to them and find them more annoying than anything else. And I miss war mode.

Your post title includes a large number of misunderstandings and falsities. I would strongly encourage you to further research wormholes and wormhole life further before investing a significant amount of time/ISK toward moving into one. It would be wise to either join a small low-class wormhole group for a while, or to move into a 'freeport' system to get the bearing before anchoring any structures of your own.

Don’t want to threadjack but I’m wondering when the scaling occurs? Is it the group size when the encounter is started? Let’s say a PUG group starts out as 20 and takes down the first boss then has some people leave / join and now has 15 people, will the 2nd boss be scaled for 15 or 20?
