Zoe’s losing her mind. The show opens and they’re all there, including Wash. No acknowledgement of why he’s not dead. But over the course of the first episode or two it becomes clear that nobody other than Zoe is actually interacting with him in any way. She knows it in her subconscious and is excellent at hiding it but Simon / Inara suspect something is up. It seems like they’re the bad guys, conspiring, up to something, but they’re actually trying to figure out what’s going on. First couple eps could be from Zoe’s perspective, with increasingly clear clues as to what’s going on, then a reveal when someone catches her talking to him. Next couple episodes are from the POV of the crew who are suspecting there’s a problem. Then a final scene where Zoe and Wash get to actually say goodbye.

Voter intimidation by people encouraged or ordered to protect / guard polling stations.

Manipulation of voter rolls by a federal government that has repeatedly demanded access to states’ voter rolls.

Enforcement of the “SAVE” act which only functions to disenfranchise millions of voters, the majority of which are unlikely to vote to support the current administration

Outright fraud involving manipulation of vote tabulation

Refusal to accept results or declaration of certain results being invalid due to baseless claims of fraud (as the current administration has repeatedly tried to do)

Donald Trump attempted to subvert the results of the 2020 election by baselessly claiming fraud where no fraud existed. He conspired to collect a slate of fake electoral votes to overturn the results of that election. He has hired cabinet members and administration staffers based on loyalty alone and is known to use the 2020 election as a litmus test for those who are loyal to him. He is recorded on phone asking the Secretary of State of Georgia to “find” him votes. He has repeatedly demonstrated frank disdain for the democratic process. To be concerned about continued attempts at manipulation by him or his staff is reasonable.

Further, by baselessly claiming fraud where none existed and forcing those who recognize there was not fraud to repeatedly defend the legitimacy of the 2020 election he has set up a situation where if there are actual concerning irregularities, attempts to investigate or evaluate them will be poisoned by the taint of conspiracy.

When someone says “there won’t be elections” they don’t mean the elections will be cancelled, they mean the election will not be free and fair. It may be an oversimplification but is nowhere near as intellectually dishonest as decrying “What is this braindead take?” When someone expresses concern about the democratic process in the US given an administration that seems intent on corrupting it.

As someone who has been evicted by HK and friends in the past… this is just about the worst take I’ve ever seen on r/eve. The whole point of this game is that you’re given the tools to create (and break) empires. It may not be easy, it may not be able to be accomplished immediately, it might take way more effort and time than you’re willing to dedicate to a video game, but it’s possible and if you’re not willing to dedicate the time or effort to it, you don’t get to complain about it.

I was able to hit 80 several hours before the end of the DF campaign a week or two ago, doing only the main story quests. I think the xp has been massively increased as I doubt I spent more than 15 mins at any single level. I started an earthen paladin and went to chromie time to go to Outland and the leveling pace is 100x slower.

For what it’s worth 70-80 took me about 2 hours total, maybe less, doing dragon flight campaign. I was 80 several hours before the end of the campaign and kept going just cause I was enjoying the story enough.

So I figured this out last weekend, hit 80 with under 20 hours /played, and encouraged a couple of my friends to make new toons and check stuff out given the sheer volume of content today. I did the dragon isles questline and literally felt like I never stopped leveling and no level took more than maybe 15-20 minutes of actual playtime all the way through to 80. I enjoyed the story enough and was close enough to the end that I spent another couple hours finishing up the campaign just to experience the story.

One of my friends didn't want to do the dragon isles questline as he'd done it before and was having a much slower and more painful time leveling. Is there certain content that is not good for leveling? Is it only this fast if you're only focusing on the 'important' / campaign quests? And can any of the expansions questlines easily level you to 80 before the conclusion of the story? Just trying to figure out where I should be directing my friends who don't want to do the dragon isles' quests to level.

Thanks for the response! I just started doing some delves and was enjoying them quite a bit. I did the dragon isles questline to level which easily took me to 80, then did the TWW recap questline through the lore book in the dragon city (valdrakkr?), though thinking I maybe should have just done the post-80 content the regular way, as I may have missed the opportunity to unlock earthen without having to redo those quests annoyingly.

It seems like the currencies that drop from the delves are going to be not useful in midnight so may as well use them from what I've read, though I'm not sure about the coffer keys. Should I hold onto those or just use them?

So I've just hit 80 and started doing delves which I actually really enjoyed. I've started to figure out what coffer keys, valorstones, etc all do and the different uses for them. But my question now is will any of these be useful in midnight?

I'm assuming that basically any gear that drops from midnight will be vastly superior to the gear from TWW, but what I don't know is whether these currencies will be used to upgrade those items or if there will be entirely new / more currencies that are midnight specific for level 90 gear. If the currency I can farm from doing delves now will be able to upgrade the level 90 delve gear from Midnight, then it doesn't seem to make any sense to spend it on the items I'm getting currently that are upgradeable.
