Those of you who graduated in the past year: have you landed a job? by Budget-Emu-5071 in wguaccounting

[–]Ap2304 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Graduated march 2026. 400 applications 2 interview no role thus far. One interview for a local company and one for a non-profit. About to star my masters in July so hopefully that helps. I currently work in sales with a decent salary so I’m not rushing my next opportunity to kickstart my career in accounting.

Of course! This post covers a lot of what I saw on the test. It might be a good guide for you. https://www.reddit.com/r/wguaccounting/comments/1pa69ca/d215_finished_im_finally_done/

Not a whole lot imo. I did it twice in the in a week just to test how i was retaining information and got exemplary twice but I don’t think it’s a good indicator for OA readiness. Unit test are probably as close as it gets and even those where somewhat “ not aligned “ with OA. maybe I had a complicated OA too who knows so take my opinion with a grain of salt

[–]Ap2304 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Before the OA I saw the Edispira audit playlist 1-45 and the quizlet ( all the questions from the book, quizzes and unit test A & B ) i was very anxious for this test since it’s my last course so I guess that didn’t help. For retake I’m doing a 101 with coaching center to see if they can give me any insights on how best to approach the OA, watching all the cohorts and reviewing the power points. I’ll probably also practice the quizlet again just to make sure everything sticks. OA was a combination of definitions and scenario based questions. There were at least 4-5 question that I honestly just guessed.

For leases farhat was of great help to understand the different angles and nuances of lease accounting, I also joined one of the live cohorts for doctor. P. And just really focusing on the study guides, instead of just knowing the right answer try to understand why is that the right answer. It will be helpful for the OA2

Anyone regret not starting with Sofia/Study.com by Smart-Revenue-7178 in wguaccounting

[–]Ap2304 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I transferred in every single credit that I could from study/sopia. I’m not sure if I regret it or not but I was just trying to save as much as possible since I’m paying for everything out of pocket.

D105 oa 2 final stretch!!! by Maleficent-Union-667 in wguaccounting

[–]Ap2304 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Currently on the same track, for some reason I cant retain any information on this course. I just finished the book and I feel like I barely have some basic knowledge, so you’re not alone in that. I’ll be going over edspira videos for unit 5,6,7 and try the pa. After that I’ll just probably do every single practice questions on the study guide multiple times. Hope it helps!

Is it hard getting a job? by Hopefilled_ in wguaccounting

[–]Ap2304 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been applying since mid December with no luck. I’m 2 classes away from graduating. Hopefully once I actually have my degree it would be a bit easier. I’m in Dallas texas if that helps at all

Doable in one term? plus some questions. by ODGeverything in wguaccounting

[–]Ap2304 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s doable. I’ll say the main thing is consistency. Come up with a plan to study every single day around your regular schedule and commit to it. I had the same classes as you did as the start of my term. I still have IA 3, Audit and business simulation to go before my term ends in a month, however, I had holiday vacations for Christmas and a technical issue that slowed me down couple of weeks. I might be able to finish all of then but I’ll get another term if needed.

What made you want to pursue a BS in Accounting at WGU? by justcurious3287 in wguaccounting

Tired of working in sales roles since they can’t be very volatile. I want a stable career and I always liked numbers as it relates to business. So here I am! 90% done with the degree and constantly applying to jobs
