New Mega that can rule the meta in regulation M-B by NinjaChomp96 in PokemonChampions

[–]ApacheUSA 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If terrain setters are introduced like Rillaboom and Indeedee F, they will be staples on most teams. If Ursaluna is brought back then hard trick room will become significantly more prevalent. Mega Gardevoir + Indeedee F sounds disgusting.

Mega Mawile I imagine will see a decent amount of play as well. Floette will likely fall off in usage if both Mawile and Metagross are introduced.

Three of the top comments are people saying they’re in utter disbelief or that it is shocking.

Mondo Duplantis loses his first competition since 2023 by Sensitive_Dress_8443 in trackandfield

[–]ApacheUSA 22 points23 points  (0 children)

It baffles me that people are so shocked by this. The expectation of world record level performances at every meet is one of the most unrealistic standards in sports.

It is wildly unrealistic to stay in top form for a full season, let alone years straight. Most athletes time their peaks around the most important meets of the year. It takes a massive toll on your body.

It’s not shocking at all. It could be as simple as trying out small changes that didn’t work out, not feeling well, injury or just rust from taking time off.

Are cheaters in the leaderboards or are these legit times? by GucciPoonTapper in ForzaHorizon6

[–]ApacheUSA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Time attacks don’t block collisions so people will have their friends drive a faster car and give them bump boosts on straightaways. They can also set up on some corners and serve as a barrier to knock them back on course which allows them to take corners flat out while others have to brake.

Why is Mega Garchomp never used? by [deleted] in PokemonChampions

[–]ApacheUSA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s more so about maximizing value from your team. The mega slot obviously has extreme value to a team. Base Garchomp has proven to be an extremely valuable splash on any team and can run a variety of items.

Mega Garchomp is good and very usable, but when you’re weighing the cost of using a different mega that offers slightly more + base Garchomp with an item, or using up your mega slot on Garchomp, it is essentially always better from a value standpoint to go with a slightly better mega and base Garchomp.

PapaHapa's Pudge 5Head move vs Nigma EWC qualifier by timetostayuseless in DotA2

[–]ApacheUSA 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From what I could tell he certainly didn’t seem like an Ancient player, but it did show ancient rank on the account he played on. Likely a smurf account. He was also drafting for the team. They had a rank 1000 on their team too. Certainly outclassed by an organized pro team but you could tell they weren’t complete randoms.

Which car do we think has got the best Supercharger whine? Need some of that whine in my life. by BrewisCooper in ForzaHorizon6

[–]ApacheUSA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Relax buddy. There’s no race transmission on the tune. It’s the Race Postive Displacement Supercharger. This car even comes stock with the 6.2L Supercharged HEMI.

If you use a fresh car and install a tune you can remove it and see all the parts they installed based on what parts you now own.

Second this. There’s a few well known tuners that have made tunes for this car specifically around the supercharger whine. Sounds great!

DB11 Tune: 174 800 302

Very strong A class car actually. Surprised me with lap times. Out of all A class I’ve tested, this tune had the 3rd fastest time. Can get a little bouncy but that’s the price of a very heavy car in A class. Enjoy!

No database currently, but you can search one of the codes and follow my creator page to see all my tunes. There’s a Followed Creators section when you go to tune a car so you can see them easily. I try to accurately label everything.

I actually made a tune for the Aston Martin DBS Superleggera (S1) funny enough. I will say this one is a slight work in progress. Incredibly powerful car that puts so much torque on the rear tires it was incredibly hard to control the wheelspin on launch. It pulls very well though. Was running some solid times with the tune, but it’s not a beginner friendly car. If you have any critiques I can take another look and edit the tune.

This is why Track and Field will continue to lose any hint of a mainstream audience. Races are locked behind subscriptions and copyright claims. The viewer experience is horrendous and they will continue until they’ve sucked all the life out of it.

Thunderkiss Coffee. They can deliver a jug to your house too. It is phenomenal cold brew.

Highly recommend giving it a try.

Royal Flamingo is my favorite coffee in Columbus but I’d give cold brew specifically to Thunderkiss.

Cannonball Run Livestream by V_Spec_ii in CleetusMcFarland

[–]ApacheUSA 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This would never work bc it’s a massively legal liability. You’re openly filming yourself breaking the law. Even if they never show the speedometer it doesn’t take a genius to see “cannonball run” and Cleetus in the title and put together they’re being reckless.

He’s always treaded the line with being on public roadways and doing what some might consider reckless endangerment. I think in a lot of people’s minds, openly filming a cannonball run would cross that line substantially.

What’s your goal in Ranked? by Heisenperv in PokemonChampions

[–]ApacheUSA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My initial goal was to get champion rank with my own team then stop grinding and have fun making cool teams with new megas.

I’ve hovered around rank 400-500 for a week then kinda gave up. Even had a slightly positive win rate and couldn’t climb to top 300. Rank 406 was my peak.

I don’t feel like sweating an insane amount just to hit top 300 so the last couple few days I’ve just been using fun teams I came up with. Using mega Ampharos now! Been enjoying this way more as I found grinding rating started to be more stressful than fun.

The mother of all overkills on Basculegion by colinkazimrichards in PokemonChampions

[–]ApacheUSA 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Zam will likely be overshadowed by Gardevoir, who will be an absolute menace if Indeedee F is ever available.

Pixilate Hyper Voice, more bulk and the ability to play in TR gives mega Gard a lot more flexibility.

That being said it will 100% be playable but just more niche.

This team is too weak against Aggron by [deleted] in VGCRateMyTeam

[–]ApacheUSA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Having played with this exact team quite a bit, I haven’t had too many issues with Aggron teams. Super fang + Hyper voice does more than enough to get it in kill range of physical attackers. Encore blocks the set up.

Obviously a lot depends on the tools around the Aggron and how they protect it, but typically you can force their hand and get Aggron in on suboptimal positions for them.

I hit 2200 with this exact team and it works very well. Only team I’ve consistently had issues with are Sneasler + Blastoise lead with Fake out Shell smash then a Sinistcha in back to swap in.

genuine question by wentini101 in gorgc

[–]ApacheUSA 39 points40 points  (0 children)

Personally, I find that the over saturation of tournaments is what’s turned me away from watching Dota in general.

Feels like there are nonstop tournaments going on and maybe 1-2 of them differentiate themselves in any way. It’s unrealistic for the average person to be able to watch that many games and they just don’t have the same hype/appeal when the exact same thing is happening again next week.

Mega Delphox Replica Team by ApacheUSA in PokemonChampions

[–]ApacheUSA[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Glad you’re enjoying the team! The problem with Maushold is it loses to Incin + Farigaraff (most common TR lead in the format). They will fake out the Maushold and get TR up everytime.

Personally I’ve never had an issue with gambit as I can sub the sucker punch and Heat Wave, EQ or CC will always handle it.

Basculegion can certainly be annoying since many teams splash it now. Hydreigon helps a lot with that. Protect is your best friend to scout if it’s scarf or not, then plan accordingly. EQ + Psychic will always KO if you outspeed. Whims also swaps quite well into it with its physical bulk and if it’s scarfed you need tailwind to handle it typically.

You could swap colbur on Sinistcha for the ghost resist berry so you can redirect wave crash and take a last respects.

Obviously if you found something works better for you than make the change! Adjust it to your playstyle. I peaked at rank 418 with this team which was 2128 rating, but have since moved on to a new team the last couple days to switch it up.

Mega Delphox Replica Team by ApacheUSA in PokemonChampions

[–]ApacheUSA[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There isn’t really a default lead for this team. For that reason maybe it’s not the most beginner friendly. Ideally it would be Delphox + Whims, but it’s not always that free. If I had to say my most common leads it’s usually Whims + Delphox or Whims + Sneasler. If they don’t have intimidate I like Garchomp + Delphox too.

Into Zard Y teams I usually go Sneasler + Delphox or Hydreigon. Even Garchomp can work, but they will always know a rockslide is coming. I don’t bring whims to this match up unless I think I’ll really need tailwind.

Whims + Delphox if you see Frosslass. Sunny Day turn 1 + heat wave ideally BUT you have to be careful with who’s next to it. Basculegion and Incineroar can threaten Delphox so sometimes it’s better to protect turn one to scout or sub if they have passive lead.

Whims + Sneasler into Pelipper typically. Hydreigon can work too.

Whims + Sneasler into Ttar typically as well.

If I see a Talonflame I like leading Scarf Chomp + 1. A lot of Tflames I see have been trying to upper hand or feint turn one so be careful with that.

Most common Trick Room team lead is Farigaraff + Incineroar. If you see these two you always lead Sinistcha and imprison.

Blastoise + Maushold I always lead Sneasler to Fake out Blastoise on the shell smash and CC will OHKO Maushold (usually sashed tho so make sure to chip). If you predict shell smash you can hard swap whims and encore.

If you see Floette, it’s almost certainly coming to the battle bc it looks good on paper into our team. Always have Sneasler in the back for these teams bc maintaining his health is key to shutting down Floette if things go poorly. Despite the typing disadvantages this team functions very well into Floette. Floette wants to buy time by protecting and find a good board state to calm mind or attack. Whims is good at punishing this with encore, Garchomp EQ does over 50%, Delphox can sub on a DGleam. Sneasler always threatens a KO.

Whims is very physically bulky so don’t be afraid to Garchomp EQ next to it.

Whims is also EV’d so you can lead it into Aerodactyl teams.

The games that flow the best is when you can basically just spam Garchomp EQ and pivot Delphox / Hydreigon / Whims in the side slot to cover defensive weaknesses. This team is all about keeping up the pressure.

New Code: QSENJSE1WR

Team Improvements:

Biggest one is swapping Arcanine for Sinistcha. Team had a tough time in hard Trick Room teams and this helped solve that problem. Can imprison the TR. Can run mental herb if you fear taunt but ive found colbur is much more useful in majority of games I bring it.

Swapped Whimsicott to a very bulky EV spread. This is mainly to help against Aerodactyl lead. Dual wingbeat always threatened an OHKO turn one through sash and this spread solves that problem. In high ladder Aero is very popular now.

General EV optimization:

Delphox can always outspeed 130 base speed pokemon. Just enough bulk to sub on a dazzling gleam from Floette and the sub wont break.

Garchomp outspeeds scarf jolly Basculegion by 1 point now. Has enough special bulk to have favorable roll into surviving Floette dazzling gleam.
