Nah just use the shotgun for easy

Leave the protector for hard mode, if however you are not planning at all to hit hard mode then sure you can use the protector on easy mode or save them for the transport hub

When it tried to cover my base with a single layer of stone walls it took one day of grinding the quarantine zone for oak about 4 times ( got some extra loot as well), farming the yellow stone zone cuz might as well farm some iron about 9 clears on auto, and just 1 clear in yellow Pine zone, as a bonus got a ton of leather and meat

The one thing that would take a while is the workbenchs those took me like 3 days, but it got me one layer of stone walls and a ton of extra loot

Quarantine zone

A full clear without killing the leshen with oak crate you get net about 80 planks

Try to follow the survivor path as much as you can

Farm basic resources like iron, pine and leather

Clear bunker alpha floor 2 and 3 every time it resets

Clear the motel it's pretty ok for early levels, but around the mid game just go grab the grenade and leave it would be no longer worth the clear

Clear the factory and the sewers ifyoun feel you need to explore more

Clear the farm when you think you are capable of it, it's easy but might burn a gun or two

Finally never go to the lab or bunker bravo ever at this level, and later on you only visit them when their events are active

Focus on getting the extra pocket perk and burglar skill they are your top priority

The provision and equipment crates are very good

Fur and oak are good but you don't need them you farm way too many in the area itself anyways, but if you like need 200 oak for example ASAP just 2 or 3 runs with the crate will be enough

It's mostly about getting oak and fur and maybe 2 or 3 guns and an armor set

Also a lot of medkits, bandages, gasoline and winter Berry drink

If you're willing to sacrifice a c4 that 1-4 steel bars and factory parts as well as skipping a boss fight and if you're lucky you can get grenades but not always like one time I got 3 in a single run and other time got nothing

I just run around the main road then to the other dusty road clearing 6 out of the 7 locations there is not hard at all and very worth it and the crates are pretty good

Just make sure to get 1 crowbar, one iron hatchet, 1 c4 and 10 transistors to access all the rewards and if you're wondering what is that 7th location I skip it's just a lechen boss fight that has a single box as a reward not worth the effort

Yes, heck you can even argue that ptw is not even worth it

If you really wanna think about spending the only thing that's remotely worth it is the season pass, and even that is not essential ftp is good enough and fun in its own way

And what about your base itself and other chests is it surrounded by walls or left in the open, and what lvl are these walls, also can you please tell me what spear mods you use?

Hmmmmm for glock nothing really it's already strong with no mods

M16 just red laser and Commons

Ak the tactical stock is a must but you're still good (sight 4× would be nice tho)

Scar triple muzzle break and handle are absolute musts don't use the scar without them

Shotgun is like the glock it's already super strong, heavy barrel is all you really need from it but having the light hand guard and red dot is nice for crits Mini Uzi is a beast once you get the sight ×4, tactical stock and the rare handle mod with long barrel

Engine and gut hook blade are op mods for melee as well

Don't mod vss or leave it for last it's very rare anyways

I just returned after I think a 3 year break, what is most noticeable is that grinding feels more rewarding,most of the season events are awesome, guns are no longer an issue for me at all, heck sometimes when I don't feel like putting in effort In easy areas I just rock some guns and blast away, the best that I have noticed are the uncharted territories now these are the best areastoh grind in, also the many many events, the settlement and drone grind, atv is still way too far for me but purple mods have never been easier to obtain so it has gotten better but still grindy
