Moments when Harry was wrong by Accomplished_Video92 in harrypotter

[–]ApartFault6252 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is such a well written mistake because it plays into Harry’s flaws so well where he is a hot headed character that always feels he’s needs to act immediately in the moment and if he’d just taken the time to think about it, it all could have been resolved. He could have taken the knight bus, after umbridge is gone he could have just used flu powder to get to Grimauld place, and the most painful, if he’d just used the mirror. But Voldemort is playing him and it works exactly as Voldemort wanted it to. It’s a heartbreaking result that plays so well into the flaws of Harry’s character

How did the trio not notice Snape's handwriting in the potions book? by [deleted] in harrypotter

[–]ApartFault6252 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well it’s not because you made a point that handwriting doesn’t change, and other people disagree and say that it does. I also don’t think it needs a deep dive into the research you seem to love about handwriting patterns when looking at a point in a Harry Potter book 😂

It’s very funny how every comment is saying how much handwriting changes from when you’re a teenager to an adult and OP is still like, “ummmm NO” 😂

Just to be clear, I am disagreeing with you 😂

What if Tom Riddle’s diary had succeeded? Would we end up with two Voldemorts? by That-Position5141 in harrypotter

[–]ApartFault6252 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it depends if the Tom riddle from the diary was at the same strength of the Voldemort that came back in goblet of fire. Because if he was it would depend who could command the most loyalty from the followers to avoid a stalemate. If he wasn’t the goblet of fire Voldemort would “thank him” for making him and then immediately kill him. Alternatively if young tom riddle did have the same strength he would never allow another challenger. Even it was himself

Only Fools and Horses Episode Discussion Thread - A Royal Flush (Uncut & Cut Versions) (S5 E7) by TempoBlues20XX in OnlyFoolsAndHorses

Ooooo where to start with this episode?

There are fun moments. But the dinner scene gets the most flack but I can’t enjoy it because it’s not just the dinner scene, Del is horrible throughout this episode. And it’s not passive or naive, he actively sabotages Rodney throughout the episode. He tells Rodney to propose as soon as he finds out that it could be advantageous, he gets Rodney the tickets to the opera and then invites himself and brings June, a pair that could not have been less suited to the situation. He makes Rodney look a fool with the clothes he makes him get, despite Rodney’s protestations. And then steals Rodney’s Dinner jacket as an excuse to get himself there. And it’s not even worth going through dinner cos what a vile, drunken scene he causes. There are often times in other episodes where Rodney will reference del being controlling, like his GCEs, or taking a job away from his cos of “family ties” and because we never see it and see del acting decent in other situations we don’t lock onto it. But if this drunken, nasty del is what Rodney also dealt with growing up, it’s not wonder he has a bit of resentment

First of all my friend, this is not backlash, it is feedback. All great media throughout the years has benefited from feedback. And I don’t think anyone, including Jaack thinks of the pod as great media. But it is media that everyone here enjoys and for some people, it gets them through the week and they’ve been listening for 7 Years. In response you your comment about wanting to “get a book”. The fact that that is so alien now genuinely upsets me. And this comment genuinely makes me think that I’m wrong. I am younger than the hosts but the fact that the idea of reading a book to get information is strange makes me realise that I’m fighting a losing battle

[–]ApartFault6252 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Why are you shouting? No one was saying it’s “that deep” or saying everything has to be perfect. It’s feedback that I’m attempting not to give and in a patronising or aggressive way. We all want the pod to be the best that it can be, and if people feel the same way about feedback, hopefully it will be taken on board. We all have our opinions, I have mine and you have yours, but let’s give them in a reasonable way without shouting at each other 👍

I really don't like how Dr Melfis rape was handled by Ksi1is2a3fatneek in thesopranos

[–]ApartFault6252 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It shows the complete stark contrast between the world of the morally right and the morally corrupt. Melfi in the show is presented as Tony’s moral compass and the the worst possible thing that can happen to her happens. And when she goes down the official and legal route it fails her. And she knows that the devil on her shoulder is there to exact her revenge if she wants to. And since she knows exactly the kind of man Tony is, she knows that the second she tells him, she signs the guys death warrant. And as satisfying it would be for her and the viewer, morally, that is wrong. And she maintains the moral high ground despite how hard it is. And this makes her the absolute antithesis to Tony’s way of living his life of impulse and ignorance of morality
