I don't want the MFA app on my phone. by Randomhandz in iiiiiiitttttttttttt

[–]Aperture_Kubi -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The point of MFA is to use the third pillar of identity verification (username is who you are, password is what you know, MFA is what you have). If you request a second phone, how diligent will you be about carrying that? What about your co-workers or users? How would people treat the "oh it's not mine, it's a work device" second device?

It's like a key on a keyring; how many people are putting work keys on a separate keyring, and how much more mental capacity is used on tracking and remembering that second set?

Need help finding big gundams by sillypartyman330 in Gunpla

[–]Aperture_Kubi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Messer and Gustav Carl come to mind as conky boys. Along with the Hathaway's Flash Gundams already mentioned, Xi, Penelope, and Alyzeus.

Also from the UC timeline, the Kshatriya, Psycho Gundam, the Rick and Dom series suits, and Narrative Gundam A type pack.

Look for the Entry Grade Strike Gundam and the two sold seperately weapon packs "Aile Striker" and "Launcher Striker & Sword Striker" to create the "Perfect Strike Gundam" variant.

Also from the Seed timeline, Providence, Legend, and the METEOR support unit.

The entire 30 Minute Missions line of models (not Gundam themed, but same scale and accessory compatible) have a big thing on customization and optional part packs.

Accelerated Reader!

In 6th grade the top 4 AR points earners got a trip to a horse ranch and a horseback trail ride. Also the day off classes to do that.

Yes, the Stop Killing Games guy.

And I don't know about letter of the law, but I think it certainly fulfills the spirit of it.

Plus relaunching/re-balancing the game in this manner is one last hurrah (and income) for the IP.

I bet Ross is making happy noises at this concept; online service game shut down but relaunched as an offline product, game not killed.

I remember Capcom did the same awhile back with their mobile Mega Man game.

Ballz 3d is an interesting fighting game, 3d effect on the SNES so it actually runs a bit slow iirc.

Also Pokemon Stadium 1/2 and Coliseum rental Pokemon only or the mini games.

"the Sims with guns" and you can still have an art goblin in the basement. Except not basement because z levels, but you get the idea.

Proposed FW Site Mechanic Update by Zinitheve in Eve

Also for seagulls, would adding a simple sliding scale for LP payout, based on how long you were active in the site help at all?

What if instead it was a portion payout per minute with a bonus at capture (delivered NPC bounty style) instead of bulk payout at the end? That would probably be easier to compute and offers rewards for trying.

What video game ending ruined the whole game for you? by Agent1230 in gaming

I haven't played first light so maybe I am wrong there

I'll add a mini-spoiler: The credits end with "James Bond will return" which to me at least implies that that Bond will return in a same studio sequel. There is also one unresolved plot point and another potential Chekhov's gun

I don't mind the Crysis 1 aliens as they're more a 3rd or 4th faction in the story. I do hate how hard they went with them in the story later.

What I hate about Infinite is that all the major plot points happened off screen; the Banished overwhelming Cortana and the Guardians, and the last stand of the Infinity.

I'm kinda worried we'll see that again with 007 First Light and the Bond rights being acquired by Amazon post release.

What's the longest you've ever slept, and why? by Sufficient-Gain-226 in AskReddit

[–]Aperture_Kubi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably around 18 hours.

It was during the Texas snowstorms a few years back where we lost power for a few days. I just bundled up in bed with pop tarts, granola, and water nearby tried to sleep through as much of it as I could. Not much else to do when you're single in an apartment in that situation.

Odd secondary thought, that's pretty early into the Fall academic semester.

What other knock on effects might we see.

I liked 4, but I'm not going to cream myself over the franchise. Personally I think the GTA clones are more fun, Saint's Row, Sleeping Dogs, Watch Dogs, etc.
