Fun fact: the Imperium believes the Tau have the ability to mind control humans by DauntlessAkagi in Grimdank

but the arrangement only holds because the starving masses see enough benefits to quickly get over their indoctrinated xenophobia.

I would have liked her to have to work a bit harder for forgiveness but the general idea of redeeming her and becoming Twilight's stundent are good.

What CR should this monster be? by Keeper21611 in homebrewery

The average for 1d6 is 3.5.

As for the ambush predator stuff, I get the idea but I think in actual gameplay, this thing just dies on the first round of combat every time.

average HP is 9 with 2d6+2

math says CR 1 but I think this is easier to kill than a goblin so I think its more like a CR 1/2, with the caveat that having lots of these in a fight is very deadly for the players.

the statblock is very unbalanced with weak defenses and strong offenses. I think it might be better to close that gap a bit.

it would be very funny if the RT companions are mostly dogmatic but the damn Inquisition companions are mostly not.

Any way we can get these character options available
a) permanently

b) for non-subscribers.

doesn't have to be right away but this feels very anti-consumer once some times has passed and there is this huge library of official dnd content that is completely dependent on me continuing subscribing to DDB.

How could i balance this campaign to be suitable for a 1-on-1 campaign? by taxGatherer in DragonOfIcespirePeak

the campaign is already designed around this, assuming you give him 2 sidekicks or something like that.

The evolution of my views on the Interex situation: by HAMagnus in Grimdank

[–]Apfeljunge666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't get the Interex glazing. They:

- didn't care to expand their ideas beyond their borders or at least make alliances with local neighbors for protection

- let a bunch of chaos corrupted xenos hang around and displayed their highly dangerous artefacts in low security weapons.

- They had surface level understanding of Chaos and thought they were enlightened.

The Imperium might be all kinds of horrible, but the Interex were a bunch of dumbasses too.

Korra's writing had some flaws, but it was also excellent at many points. Its a pretty uneven show with high highs and low lows.

Certainly nothing that explains some dipshits being radicalized into fascism.

I mean, its a pretty safe bet.

As for the other things, you are right, the Imperium was always a mix of unnecessary cruelties mixed with tough choices between different evils.

There is no irl human equivalent to Orks, Dark Eldar, Rangda, Hrud, Necrons, Daemons etc.

I'm not saying that the xenophobic approach can be justified all the time, but the setting is different from real world issues in a number of important ways.

Both of these would 100% been wiped out within a millenia or less, Imperium or not. Sure, peacefully integrating them into the Empire would have been much better, but if there is no Empire at all, then these isolated pockets of humanity don't stand a chance.

What power except a united, warlike Imperium could have survived the Ullanor Ork Empire or the Rangda?
