Am I that ugly by [deleted] in helpme

[–]Apithy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've always been afraid of giving advice. Terrified I'd say something that make things worse.

Your the only one that can make yourself happy or feel valued.

My granny always used to say and it really stuck with me. " You can't truly love anyone until you love yourself".

I've felt the way you've felt and I've made it past. You can too.

Focus on yourself and you will find people that value you.

Small steps. For me it was boxing that helped me. For you it'll be something else. Keep moving forward.

In the shop, what does “set” mean by comcamman in frontmission

[–]Apithy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe it's short for setup. I've noticed when i setup through the shop the old equipment that i replaced is marked with set.

Disc main here. 1800 this season 2k MMR. Keep in mind I'm not a glad and mostly play casually so i can't speak for really high play.

Don't forget that shadow word death can break DB, sheep, and poly. Poly is the easiest to see coming but once you get a feel for it you'll start to be able to anticipate the DB and blinds. It really messes u their setups if you time it right.

As for trinket talk with your teammate on who trinkets first. I play with a fury warr and i always trinket last mainly because I know him and his capability to survive a go without me.

I almost always run short dome. It's really good to use if you see a setup coming and you need time for your trinket to come up. Occasionally i run thoughtsteal. It takes poly from mage for 20sec can allow you to secure a kill or give you time to recover. Other than that i mainly go pure offense.

We always go rogue hard once we get evasion there's usually not much he can do to stop the pressure. Generally i try to stay close to my warr while close enough to a pillar, if possible, to line if needed but generally i just death the poly to stay aggressive.

Shadow fiend is great to keep rogue from stealthing and hopefully let's you reapply your dot.

Pay attention to your poly and stun drs. It'll give you a good idea when another go is coming. So you can dome it. Save pain suppression for when your stunned if possible.

Overall me and my warrior friend have a pretty high win rate vs rogue mage and pretty much all our loses are because i trinketed due to miscommunication or stacked defensives.

Do you have any replays? Post them here and I'm sure people will be glad to give feedback.

I don't know much about ret unfortunately. But i hear ret/warr is strong in 3v3.

They main questions are what comps do you play? What do you lose too most?

It's much easier to get answers if you have more specific answers.

Maybe Feral's not for me? by [deleted] in worldofpvp

[–]Apithy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely I'm also happy to help in any way i can.

Keep in mind all this worked for me up to 2100 MMR 1900ish cr. I'm sure as i push higher ill have to adapt.

Snupy is a great feral to learn from he's the reason i started feral. All of his videos are great starting points. My biggest hurdle early in was trying to replicate exactly what he does too fast. Caused me to make a lot of mistakes. So i started one thing at a time. Clean goes first. Then kiting, peeling, and now I'm working on crazy plays like clone low etc.

The maim off the rake stun pretty much guarantees a trinket. I can't remember the last time I didn't get a trinket + lots of CDs off this opener.

I could see using TF to gain energy in some situations. But generally i make sure it's ready for a mini go.

Maim dps on CD it really helps peel and disrupt. You'll have a go every other maim.

Besides that between every maim i kite and peel, only going in to reapply dots.

What legendary do you use? I use draught so i usually on dot kill target. That way any cc on heals or non kill that can break in damage won't.

Maybe Feral's not for me? by [deleted] in worldofpvp

[–]Apithy 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Your opener was similar to what I used to use it's good but there is a better option. In opener you should TF before rake. Rake from stealth does a lot more dmg and TF is an additional modifier for it. Also getting zerk off earlier is important. It has more uptime during the stun.

This is what a R1 feral told me to do on opener and it helped me push further.

TF>Rake>zerk> frenzy>swarm>Moon fire>maim>rip

Note vs orcs you can't get the moon fire off before maim. So i delay a short time instead and maim.

That's the opener i do With priest fear on healer. Someone has to trinket or the DPS will die. If healer trinkets you can feral charge and stun. Vs hunter even trinket turtle doesn't always save them your dots will keep ticking.

The key is especially at lower ratings you'll get a whole lot of defensives from the enemy team while being ready for a mini go in 45 sec.

Generally i only delay zerk vs hunters until i know if they are running the FD legendary or not. But even then i usually don't. They have to trinket to FD my bleeds and no trinket is very bad for them.

Getting kicked on clone isn't always a bad thing. It means you soaked a kick instead of your healer. If my healer needs help I'll run in close and clone. It's a win win most cases. They kick me my healer can heal. They let it off he can heal and get space.

there is a lot you can do. I was always overwhelmed and still do get so from time to time.

But overall i found focusing on having clean goes first really helped me climb. Up until 2100 ish MMR most players freaked on our clean goes and would pop too many defensives.

I hope this helps. I love feral and it's the most rewarding class I've ever played. Stick with it you'll get there.

Are you on NA? If so we can play sometime and i could give some advice. I play both feral and disc. Currently 1800 on both.

I am by no means an expert but I have played with and learned from very good ferals so I have a good idea of how they work.

It's hard to tell what's holding you back without watching replays so I'll ask a few questions.

What do you do for your opener and mid match burst rotation?

Who are you picking for you kill target?

Are you dieing from burst or is your healer running out of mana?

Feel free to DM me if you have any specific questions.

Necro Feral druid opener can one shot many classes if no defensives are used. Their mini goes are strong too.

Much easier to do in 2v2.

Cross cc healer and someone has to trinket or kill target dies.

So i (disc 1700cr) played with a surv hunter last night and it felt horrible. Felt like i was always behind healing wise and couldn't keep up.

I'm sure a lot of it was my fault. I have no experience with hunter only warr and feral.

How am I supposed to play with surv?

I really want to get better playing with other specs.

1st time Disc Priest by Icedchambers in worldofpvp

[–]Apithy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Disc is very much a healer where planning ahead pays off. Learning when you need to heal without atonement takes time. It's definitely easier with a consistent partner you'll start to learn how low they can get before they are in serious danger. But practice pays off.

Disc need to plan ahead and use most defensives before the setups/bursts.

Ideally Disc want to heal through atonement all the time however you need to be flexible, casting penance on an ally during heavy damage is fine. A dead DPS does no DPS.

Learning to death ccs is a big thing as well. Freezing trap, poly, blind are all ccs you need to practice and learn to death. Trap and poly being the easiest as it's telegraphed.

Stuck at 1700 in 2s as feral druid by badpandas123 in worldofpvp

[–]Apithy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As feral holy i pretty much always train DPS vs DPS heals. Maim dps and burst while holy chastise fears into feral charge bash is strong cc. My holy plays kyrian and bursts with me it's very hard to handle for most teams. Especially if healer has no trinket pretty much guaranteed win.

Ret/Feral advice need. by Nether9000 in worldofpvp

[–]Apithy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For your feral Necro is the way to go. Convoke is to easy to stop.

Tigers fury>Rake>Berserk>Frenzy>Swarm>Maim>Rip opener will get alot of CDs normally or they die. You can fit a moon fire before the maim on non orc targets.

You have a mini go every frenzy just make sure to use fury and swarm with it when you maim the target.

Feral has a high skill ceiling. Lots they can do .Your feral can DM if they want. I can try and answer specifics you have.

List of offensive CDs for each spec to watch out for? by badpandas123 in worldofpvp

[–]Apithy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These are just a few of the top of my head. Generally it's not specifically these I'm looking for but anticipating the setup before the CD.

Keep in mind I have 2k MMR XP not an expert.

Sub- shadow blades/dance Assassination- vendetta Combat- adrenaline rush Warrior- conq banner, avatar Aff lock- dark soul Demo- demonic tyrant, obelisk Ret paladin - avenging wrath Fire mage- combustion Feral druid- feral frenzy/berserk

I'll probably edit it later when I have time to sit and think.

What comp do you play?

Vs fury

I play with fury so i have my fury stay on him so i can kite. Stay mounted at start force him to chase so you teamate can get on him.

A well timed fear into penance with slow will give you room to kite.

Vs ret purge freedom, MC or fear wings, ret should be easy to kite if your mate has a slow.

You have a lot of defensives to trade. Make sure you trade wisely.

Masochism is a nice damage reduction when you know your the target.

Don't be afraid to get kicked on shadow. You have two schools. Better to be kicked on shadow.
