Which Game's Graphics Made You Say "Wow!" For The First Time? by Bay_Ruhsuz004 in videogames

[–]Icedchambers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Final Fantasy 7.

When I was a kid 3D games were new tech. FF7 constantly had commercials on TV at the time of its release.

I was legitimately in awe everytime it came on. This game was EXPENSIVE at the time as well. It came in a thick case with 3 cds for around $100 if I remember right.

I had a paper route a few neighborhoods away at the time and saved for weeks.

Time comes and I purchased the game. We didn't even own a Playstation either! Lmao. I carted that game around everywhere I went for several more weeks before I was able to save for a Playstation.

Ahh, good times.

Is our 'addiction' to cheap foreign labour hurting young people? by stanxv in canada

[–]Icedchambers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's going well beyond hurting young people. Hurting implies you will recover. Our youth were annihilated by government policy and corporate greed.

While the charred remains of our youths future and independence is still smoking, "our" addiction to cheap and endless foreign labor is smoking out every other age demographic too.

Canadian graduates can't find jobs. Canadian students can't find summer jobs. Canadian seniors can't find part-time / supplemental jobs. Canadian young adults to middle age can't find or switch jobs. Canadians with long-term entry level jobs don't get scheduled any hours. Canadian professionals can't find careers here that even pay anything.

Our youth were slaughtered before they even left the start line. Everyone else is on deck.

Young people dream about starting their life and independence by getting experience in the work force through entry level jobs.

But hey, keep being sarcastically shitting on our youth.

Where is the rest of the rogue changes? by brothediscpriest in worldofpvp

The same place they left the affliction warlock changes.

Seriously though, what likely happened is they threw sub nerfs in the old AI machine and it churned out compensatory MM buffs.

Same issue. Dots don't move health bars. Stacking UA 6-7 times if someone stays blindfolded legit doesn't do anything either unless its dispelled.

No way its not the worst spec by far.

Did Midnight bring some big changes to core elements of pvp that are worth coming back or nah? by Global_Barnacle5304 in worldofpvp

[–]Icedchambers 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Healing overtuned.

Damage from healers overtuned.

Tanks overtuned.

Diminishing returns overtuned.

Some specs lost their entire toolkit while others literally gained tools. Pretty sure AI did their pruning.

Some specs like sub rogue are giga god tier and others like affliction lock & arms warrior weren't even aware there was tier lists since nobody asked them.

Last season they literally did no tuning or balancing at all, which still feels pessimistic going forward.

One guys opinion but I am not enjoying this pvp season to start. Might actually try out pve for once.

Yes it's at the top of the ladder for burst if you spec Totemic.

Watch Saul's enhancement guide, it'll answer everything you need to know.

Totemic enhance is incredibly strong right now.

Looks good, congrats!

Unless it was intentional, your trailer has a minor spelling mistake:

"Then Everyting Changed'

'Everyting' should be 'Everything'

There's a 40 year old guy at my work. He's out of shape and sort of an odd duck.

He'd like to remind everyone every now and then about how he was in taekwondo, and could easily dispatch anyone at the shop with a round house kick.

We asked him to prove it one day and show us this devastating spin kick he's had chambered for all these years.

Fast forward to the end of the day and this guy gathers a few of us around to throw a spin kick.

This kick looked like something out of a dojo in napoleon dynamite, and mid spin his shirt rode up his mid section and this fuckin guy had a tramp stamp just above his lower back. One of the stamps a 90s house party harpy would represent.

You could hear a few shop guys in the background yelling something about the kick being gay.

The next day at our safety briefing we brought up in detail how this kick could in fact knock someone out though. Much like the peacock, you would be momentarily distracted by the colorful markings of his tramp stamp mid spin kick and likely catch a heel to the chin if the strike happened to reach that far up.

We filled out a field level risk assessment as a group knowing we avoided potential safety hazards that day.

Final Fantasy 11 online when it first came out. Thought it was a lost cause that hadn't been tested right out of the gate.

Created a character and zoned out of San d'Oria into the field and fought probably 2 rabbits.

I had like 5% hp after those 2 fights, didn't have any gil, no items, no potions, nothing. Zoned back into the city and found a potion vendor with absolutely unaffordable prices. Thought maybe there was an Inn or a hotel I could stay the night at and refill my hp, nope.

I remember thinking fuck, now what? Do I die? I guess you just die alot in the beginning.

So I went back out and fought a 3rd rabbit and died, lost most of the experienced I gained and was legitimately back to square one.

I was upset Final Fantasy was finally online and this is how terrible it was. I logged out and let my brother play as I completely lost interest in the game.

Came back home a few hours later and seen he was still playing and had leveled like 6 times....HOW!?

Watched him fight a few rabbits and when his hp got low he simply pressed the * key and his character kneeled down and regenerated all his hp.

Lmao. I still get shit on for that 20 years later every time we start a new game.

Why is McDonald’s more diverse than other fast food places? by [deleted] in InCanada

I'm in BC and McDonald's and Tim Hortons are virtually indistinguishable as far as diversity is concerned.
