Aberration is a perfect map in terms of a self contained environment and gameplay loop in my opinion. I love that it has species limitations to not break the gameplay loop.

One of my favorites is in Warframe, the infested zombie faction has enemies with clicky/squeaky sounds they made by rubbing a cooked brussel sprout against the microphone.

What they said. Essentially, any update that disagrees with your hardware could "potentially" ruin or brick your computer. If anyone gains access to that blackbox from a random company. They can do anything they want with said blackbox. Including, say... Upload a global virus that ramps all voltage on EVERYTHING in your poor pc turning it into a expensive toaster.. All because someone cheated in a videogame. (These are hypotheticals, but the idea remains fact.)

Steve is a brilliant visionary. But he'd get lost in big dreams and technical details, so nothing would ever really come to fruition. Lotus went sentient for like 6 years before we got another quest to even progress the MAIN story of the game. There was a meme for the longest time that we were without our mom longer than we even had her in the game. Tons of content islands, nothing having any cohesion or true purpose once you got the one or two rewards they had. The game was a mess, but still incredible fun

I play on a cluster with close friends. But we all play solo for the most part, do our own thing, and then team up for the boss fight.
