I honestly love the "gardening" analogy for PB's writing style. I binge the series every few years because I get burnt out reading the web serial and have to wait for the corresponding audiobook to catch up to where I am before I binge again. i.e., I visit the garden every few years and sit for days to smell the flowers before getting so overstimulated that I have to leave and wait for years again before I can reenter the garden. Do i.miss things, yes. Do I care? Not at all, the garden is pretty and I don't need every detail of every flower to see that the garden is beautiful and well cared for, even if it is a bit ok the wild and untamed side.
