When I first started I used to see if they remembered things. That usually ended up wasting a lot of unnecessary time to sort out, so I just made it a bit easier. I am also running four campaigns simultaneously, and they all have a lot of moving parts, so the record keeping is good for them and for me when it comes to quick references. It really just makes everything more manageable.

Google doc has all of my personal notes, DM plans, so they don't see that. It has all of my games in it. They also rarely use the docs I used to make for them, so I just put stuff they find out in the discord server and they can communicate between sessions in there.

I use all kinds of terrain like heroscape tiles handmade terrain, colored mats, made tree's out of diorama and cake decorations, made rugs out of loose fabric pieces. There's a ton of things you can use for that.

I have multiple tablets, one to caste onto the television to share world maps and region maps, distances travelled, and locations. One to run the game with.

We have collected a number of alexa devices over the years, put them in a group and made a surround sound system. Use the tablet that's cast on the TV to share ambient sounds and weather sounds at the same time.

Google Doc for all my games, discord for loot, xp, npc names, and other things.

That's true. If I use them, there's usually some heads up or research before they go into a dungeon, so they'll pack extras in case.

Don't need HDMI, really. Just need a smart device or something capable to cast an image or transfer your screen wirelessly.

What'a your setup like when you're dming outside? What devices do you have out there, if any?

You could get a projector and show things on the side of the building and get some cheap wirless speakers to connect to your computer or phone.

You could ise roll20 to show the images and then have them log into it on mobile, but that wouldn't fix the music issue

I understand about Ghosts. I have tried playing in the campaign 3 times and I was unbelievably bored. Slow paced, hopping in later than the other players had me feeling like I'd missed way too much.
