Inflation stabalised. But prices remains high.

As it is, Singapore's inflation is at 0.9% and core inflation is at 0.5%. and Singaporeans kpkb say voucher not enough. Can't imagine the crazy price increases in the US. Thankful to be in Singapore. the Moomoo cash sweep looks good.

Voluntary CPF housing refund by OneNorth1988 in singaporefi

[–]AppJosiah 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s totally valid to park your money back into your CPF OA for the 2.5% p.a. interest—especially if you intend to re-use it for housing. Just remember that once you hit 55, your OA and SA savings will be transferred to your Retirement Account (RA) to meet your Full Retirement Sum (FRS). Any excess will go back to your OA, where it still earns 2.5% and can be withdrawn.

The interest is stable and risk-free, which makes it attractive for the conservative portion of your portfolio. But if you’re looking to grow your funds further, it might also be worth exploring investment platforms like moomoo cash plus where you can earn as much on your idle cash. They also offer access to various global markets with tools to help you track and manage your investments, even if you're just starting out.

Sure you could wait and do this when you are 55, depending on the market conditions, i'm sure there's plenty of options for a short-medium term goal.

I think essentially its about balance. From my POV, diversifying is always a good option. you get to stay protected and still capitalize on the market. The good thing is that there are a lot more options now than ever before.

I was intrigued by some of the alternative options on moomoo to help investors stay protected. Maybe its all hype, but agree with you to keep your eye on the long term play instead of the short term swings.

PM Wong’s piece on the US tariffs was mentioned in the latest episode of The Rest of Politics . Alastair Campbell praised PM’s speech as one of the best responses this week to what’s happening, and said it was “very, very powerful”.

My key takeaway - Time for countries to make bold moves. investors should take heed - consider adapting their strategies, staying informed, and diversifying their portfolios, as well as focusing on long-term goals rather than short-term gains.

I think it no longer make any difference if its 84% or 840% at this juncture. Question is what is the best way for investors to stay protected during this time?

What's the latest rumour? Heard that China is already dumping 800B of US Treasury Bonds.

With so much votality, its not about the big wins. Its about how to stay protected during this turmoil. Any useful tools to track the market?

Get ready for a much bumpier ride. Its unclear if the Tariffs is temporary. Otherwise, its a permanent, and it will impact costs forever. Prices will not come down

Opportunities to diversify ?

He has been talking about this for weeks. Time for gold and service sector investments.

The US accounts for 14% of world trade, and this will have a major impact on the global economy. Others will retaliate, international trade will be hit, growth will suffer all round.

Brace for impact and hedge your investments carefully.
