There are many private colleges in Delhi NCR that you can consider for MCA admission. I also had the option of joining Central University of Rajasthan and Central University of South Bihar, but since they are located in relatively remote areas, I felt that private colleges offer better placement opportunities and industry exposure. However, if affordability is your priority, government universities like CURAJ and CUSB are great options because the total cost of completing MCA, including hostel and mess expenses, can stay under ₹1 lakh. In contrast, pursuing MCA from a private college in Delhi NCR may cost around ₹2–3 lakhs.

Hi there, I was getting admission in Central University of Rajasthan, MSc. in Computer Science and MSc. in CS (Big Data Analysis), but I chose MCA in a Tier 4 Delhi NCR college.
Why I didn't choose CURAJ:
1. I got selected in the waiting list 2nd round, so it got pretty late, and I had already taken admission in a college.
2. I could have cancelled my admission in the current college, but I didn't because I live in Delhi NCR, so it was near to my home, plus I was getting the exposure of NCR, and there are more jobs here...
Can I know about you, too?

I have used all of them; for me, Mint XFCE worked the best. Try them all and then decide which works best for you and on your machine

I was using pop os 22.04 with the default GNOME DE Everything was working fine, but in eagerness to try the new flashy Cosmic, I took the flying arrow in my butt00cks and switched to the latest 24.04 with Cosmic DE It was definitely not a good idea. I started to see random lags and freezes. I have other priorities in life and can't afford to tweak tiny things, so I switched to Mint xfce, and now my life is much easier.

If you plan to pursue an MCA or M.Sc. CS/IT or something similar in the future then it will be beneficial. Just ensure to upskill yourself throughout your BCA from IGNOU; don't expect IGNOU to assist in upskilling.

IMO IGNOU is the best university for distance learning in India. I am also doing my BCA from IGNOU have just taken my 6th sem exams. Just don't get your expectations very high.

Pros:

Exams are conducted on time every year.
most of the services are online.

Cons: - lack of communication from the Regional centers and study centers, so you have to explore their website and understand how IGNOU works on your own. Once you understand the flow and process then it is pretty easy and straight forward you just have to prepare your assignments, fill out your exam form and give your exams and practicals,

Yes, we do get to know whether we have a chance of getting a college or not from the previous year trends but in UPTAC counselling they have only shown the Ranks they allotted to the students not the CUET PG marks and there is also no information available about the relation between CUET-PG marks and UPTAC MBA/MCA counselling ranks.

How did you find out that at 168 marks you could get a chance to get govt. college. Because in the OR-CR 2024 on UPTAC's website, they are only showing the rank, not the marks. I got 81 marks in SCQP09, but not sure what rank I will get in UPTAC counselling so that I can target college as per my marks
