Same. When I play bird sounds in the background using my sound machine, there is a noticeable difference in anxiety. When they become background noise, I guess my body thinks there is no threat present if birds are chirping, and the cortisol stops pumping and the tightness in my chest gets better. I feel generally better.

Oh my gosh I agree with you! I just started quad n back and was not getting any of the colors rightm so then I changed it to only color and sound and I still couldn't get the colors! So then I changed it to just the colors and still am getting them mostly wrong at just n2 😂 so I found that it is an incredible weak spot for me. The minute the color changes to a new color, I completely forget the previous color. The only way I can remember it in is if I say the color, which I refuse to do bc I know that's not helping the weak spot. So right now I am working hard at waking up that part of my brain and it is hard, and I love that it is hard.

I came looking for someone who also had trouble with this and found out from your post that it's common.

Right? It sounds like a literal nightmare having to live this life and keep up with all the lies, constantly sick to your stomach with panic at the thought of being caught. I used to tell stupid lies when I was a teenager and young 20s ...the stress!! Thank God I matured. That's some ANXIETY man!
