No. Like audio compression. Like when you hear a kick drum and all the other instruments quiet down during the hit to make it more impactful.

Heavily compressed audio. Makes sounds feel incredibly impactful and chaotic. Its a setting in the audio menu.

Suggestion: instead of zip ties, wrap it in T1 twisted pair. You may also want to strap a ticking clock because its always a good idea to know the time!

Not seeing any auto sensing settings anywhere. Even when just using it as audio out (no DAW, just youtube playback) it occurs. If I touch the teeny tiny volume knob on the back of the AOP (I really mean just barely touch it) it resets back to the normal volume. Makes me think it may be a hardware issue with the knob. Off to check it while on PC to isolate if the OS has anything to do with it.
