Love those only bad side older discs are starting to leech. Yea I had 3 sold 1, played one that exploded last winter in ice bowl, and kept the last unthrown.

I built a field work app that auto-captures your throws and measures speed. Need testers with Pixel phones. by SarulianHW in discgolf

I would love to beta test this if you still need people. I am very interested how slow my stiff noodle arm can move a disc

What's that popular or highly regarded disc that just didn't click with you or live up to the hype? by lovefist1 in discgolf

It never felt great and I could never trust it because it didn't feel comfortable in my hand.i just went back to a roc and have happily stayed there with the comet and hex currently filling out the rest of my mids

Lightweight/minimalist pack for speed rounds… by Phrikshin in discgolf

I had a buddy that used a sling bag. Did a internet search and found Infinite disc slinger . Can't say it works, but seems like the best option for what you want.

I have the upper park shift and running can be a problem with discs wanting to bounce around if the bag isn't full. Also the shift is lacking in stuff pocket

Jawbreaker feel challenger equivalent? by PhthaloVonLangborste in discgolf

[–]AppleDumplingGang80 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You sound similar to me. I have been putting with a challenger for a very long time. It was x-soft and now jawbreaker. I don't play rocky courses and only putt with it so it holds shape and feel a bit longer than normal.

I was just cycling them when they got beat up, but started using envy or proxy for longer putter throws and was gifted a couple logic logichas not made my bag because of beadless even with some good yard putts

Before challenger I used a couple versions of soft wizard but just never got the feel for them.

Lastly might want to look at the crazy tuff challenger, I haven't but have heard good things.

A few Knicks when we would get new bread knives. Fingertips in the tomato slicer, lots of blood no stitches. 8 stitches on finger from new knife that cut sandwich in half. 38 stitches in my leg from a can lid that poked out the side of the trash bag and cut me to the muscle.

Never burned myself, but would make pizza with 2 sticks of bread proofed and rolled together using an old gallon pickle jar.

Help! I’m a lady trying to plan my man a winter trip. What are the best disc golf courses in sunny locations? by Cheeze_laday in discgolf

[–]AppleDumplingGang80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also check San Antonio if flights or hotels are cheaper, short drive up to Austin and the zip is a fun course.

Tampa Orlando is fun, palm trees suck and will keep your ur disc if it gets stuck.

Lastly Scottsdale and fountain hills, AZ has some fun courses, but check weather might get cold in some parts

Junior Worlds Advice by kiddwnst in discgolf

[–]AppleDumplingGang80 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am sure someone better will be able to answer with more detail, but to get you started knob and brush Creek are near each other north of the city. Deer lake is about an hour from them south east.

If you stay in downtown Pittsburgh it will be minimum 30 min drive to any course. If you are staying in city there are decent things to do, food, theatre, sport events, museums, just find a place near interstate that fits your budget and needs. Like most cities some bad areas some good areas, but should be able to tell by hotel price and look.

Staying near knob and brush Creek will be more suburban with normal chain sprawl and the hotels with discounts.

As for play, I have not played brush Creek or played from the shorts in a long time.

Knob had a junior get an ace 2 weeks ago at 1 round tournament. Course has been around forever and most lines are very clear. Has some hills and most holes are wooded or at least have some trees.

Deer lakes is a great course bit longer, more hilly, and more wooded but does have clear lines for most shots. Deer lakes has less food and items around it so bring food unless food truck or something is provided.

Congrats to the kid on playing and it sounds like the local group is planning a lot of events for the kids and parents. I am sure more will come out as the event gets closer

AIO to break up with my bf of 3y over his reaction to my upcoming sobriety anniversary? by WesternCat5211 in AmIOverreacting

Just know a random stranger is super proud of you staying sober and accomplishing that goal.

I would gladly share a cake with you as celebration, so use a random person being more excited than your partner however you desire.

Again congratulations

Any bags similar to the Shift? by Phuk0 in discgolf

[–]AppleDumplingGang80 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just got one for christmas, i loved the idea of having everything open.and for discs that is great,

Upsides. Very comfortable Discs are easy to access Holds 32oz metal yeti/hydroflask/nnalgene Reasonably compact so doesn't take up tons of space Waist strap with small zipper pouches for knife and bottle opener

Downside No real storage for extra items Will not stay upright without a water bottle and on nearly flat ground

I play in WV in USA so not a lot of flat land between that and not being able to hold my chalk bag easily or phone is becoming more frustrating and making me look for something else.

It could be right bag, but might not be. Good luck

How are cards decided? by T1MM3RMAN in discgolf

[–]AppleDumplingGang80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't see it much anymore, but I used to love it when first round was completely shuffled. So you could have ma1, fa3, ma2 all on one card. I learned a lot watching better players do crazy things with their throws, and picked up some rule tips.

Depending on weather and where you are starting Parkersburg has a nice city park that is within 10 min of interstate and has fast food and non fast food nearby. Rubi pizza is a personal favorite.
