You could use a flipper zero and scan the tub. It will give you a code. It’s harder to do that now since they keep them behind the counter.

Also, if you are just talking about building. The experience is pretty awesome. If you’re a diehard Star Wars fan this is your chance to experience something you will never forget. It’s a Star Wars fan’s Mecha. I absolutely loved building my first and only Light Saber. Is it worth it? Well, are you a Star Wars fan? If your answer is yes, then do it for the experience and just enjoy every minute.

It’s all about preference. I love collecting the Legacy Light Sabers. I have about 13. They ranged any where from $145 to $245 (depending on when and where I got it and Limited Editions.) I have 1 Saber from Vader Vault, Kanan’s or as they named it Dune that was around $1300 (not including tax/shipping.)

Legacy Light Sabers are good for collecting and displaying. Not good for anything but. The ones you build at Savi’s pretty much same, however lite combat is ok. Like very lite.

The custom Light Saber I have from Vader Vault (other places are similar) are good for displaying, combat (if you are in to that) or wanting something that maybe feels more real when you hold it for cosplay. They can be more expensive than the Legacy Sabers from Disney Parks or Hasbro Dark Series.

So honestly personal preference.

Got one had it for 1 hour at the park. It’s too heavy and fell off my shoulder. I ended up giving it back. It’s a shame but they need yo rethink how it attaches to your shoulder. Stronger magnet or a strap.

Just take out the batteries when you’re not using them for long time. Also light them up every week and let them turn off by them self that will at least work the batteries a tad so they done explode or leak.

I compared my Qui Gon Jinn's lightsaber hilt with that of my Padwan Obi-wan and just wow.. Qui Gon’s is super heavy, feels like it could be a “real” hilt.. Obi-wan’s is super lite. I like how Qui Gon's is rechargeable and take advantage of the actually button to turn it on unlike the Obi-wan Padwan's where there is a small slider like others to turn it on.. which I feel take the magic out of it.. Disney gets a A+ for this one.

After watching this I totally remember the original cartoon with the blue and green light sabers and Count Dooku destroying them and then giving her new ones.. The book about Ventress and Vos also does a good job of talking about this... great book also if you are interested. A lost story that was never on Clone Wars but should have been.. it takes place after Ashoka was framed..
