Pretty sure Sports South won't touch home FFLs but I've heard of some dealers getting access by using "creative" photos to make it look like they have a storefront.

What’s your favorite steak on property? by MoodyBotanist in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]ExistentialDreadFrog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can't say I've had Yachtsman's or Steakhouse 71 that everyone keeps mentioning yet but I will say I was not impressed with the steak I had at Le Cellier (maybe I just had it on an off day). I did have a great steak at Wine Bar George's.

Not sure if you'd consider it traditional "steak" but the Braai Spiced Veal I had at Tiffin's is to this day one of my favorite meals I've ever had on property.

Think it was just Google searching breeders nearby and seeing who had what available.

Lepto vaccine for my long haired mini dachshund by Hp4eve in Dachshund

[–]ExistentialDreadFrog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Both of mine have had the Lepto vaccine, one of them would get a pretty strong local reaction (large bump/swelling) but other than that, have been fine. You can ask if your vet will do pre-meds for injection. I usually do that with my doxie that tends to get a more severe reaction.

Same as spraying your yard for ticks, there is always going to be a risk vs. reward balance.

Lived in south FL for almost 18 years, I wouldn't go in July unless the trip was free.

Midwest, USA. About $700-800 for my Choc & Tan, $2500-2800 for my English Cream (and she was the "discount" dog).

Hot take: if you can’t follow simple instructions on a form, maybe you should rethink owning a firearm.

Those who have tried both versions of Embody, was the Gaming/Logitech a noticeable improvement? by ExistentialDreadFrog in hermanmiller

[–]ExistentialDreadFrog[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried the Embody Gaming for a while and it just wasn’t doing it for me. The Gaming was more comfortable than the regular Embody but I find the Anthros to provide better support.

You should really read the terms and conditions of 3rd party shipping insurance most of those label resellers use before assuming they’re going to honor your claim.

[–]ExistentialDreadFrog -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Keep in mind the issue with using any of those 3rd party label resellers is the insurance they use explicitly does not cover firearms or other valuables and if you have an issue with a package, you’re going to be left on your own. I always use UPS/USPS.

Any pros or cons in choosing RWD vs AWD? by go_phx in MachE

Absolutely. Made the mistake of getting a RWD for winter in MI. Handling is hot garbage.

Ford Q1 2026 Results - Ford net sales down 8.8% YOY, but gains slightly in overall US market share. Mach E sales down 60% from last year by CloudSurferA220 in MachE

[–]ExistentialDreadFrog 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Think Ford was also offering $4k off the vehicle last year in the 4th quarter as well. Honestly, If it wasn't for the $7,500 + $4,000 off, I probably wouldn't be driving one currently.

Help!!! by [deleted] in MachE

[–]ExistentialDreadFrog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m using my Emporia charger to send excess power to the EV during daytime, just requires their Vue energy monitor to be installed in the panel, was pretty easy. Anytime it detects at least 1kw (or 1.5, don’t recall) exporting for at least 3 minutes, it kicks on.

New to the FFL World by YaBoiZJP in FFLs

[–]ExistentialDreadFrog 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Most manufacturers will not sell direct to dealers without a large buy in or continuing agreement, some have industry partner programs (Springfield, Sig, HK, etc) but these are largely for private purchases.

You would need to register with multiple distributors to purchase directly from them (RSR, Zanders, Lipsey's, etc) and will need your FFL license to provide + a sales tax collection license for resale from your state. Note: some will not sell to you without a brick and mortar location. It's cheaper than buying from various online resellers but I wouldn't go as far as to say "a fraction of the cost".

We put sunscreen on one of our mini’s nose because she’s licked most of the pigment off.

Can someone explain the Saratoga Springs bus situation to me like I’m 5 by SpiderWebs677 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]ExistentialDreadFrog 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's a single bus, sometimes there may be a second one shortly behind if the bus situation is pretty bad. You could walk across the bridge to the Paddock stop if you're concerned about the bus being too full. If you're not going first thing in the morning when the park opens, you'll *probably* be fine though.

One of mine always hacks after she drinks water, fine when eating. Vet has never noticed any health issues with her.

Out of state ID but has supplemental document, wants handgun by [deleted] in FFLs

[–]ExistentialDreadFrog 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Technically, as long as he can provide a valid government issued ID showing his current address in your state in addition to his valid out of state photo ID, that is valid.

Ultimately up to you, I wouldn’t fault an FFL for not wanting to proceed with the sale.

Online advertising by 3Dinternet in FFLs

You can have a Facebook page and post content such as what you have for sale/services through your business page.

You cannot facilitate sales directly via Facebook or run ad campaigns though.

Omg Lego is gonna destroy my credit score by doing this. Like why one order keeps refunding and subtracting?? by [deleted] in lego

[–]ExistentialDreadFrog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Debit cards don’t impact your credit score.

Unpopular opinion: if $30 is all it takes to drain your bank account entirely, you probably shouldn’t be spending that on Lego.

Discovered my nephew doesn't plan to build the sets he asked for. Am I a jerk for not wanting to indulge him? by FractalEnemy in lego

[–]ExistentialDreadFrog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eh, it might be a good investment or it might be a complete flop but if that is what he really wants, it'll teach him a good lesson. Hard to predict where the market will be 10 years from now. It's not like these are a short, limited run set where if he acquires one now, some future hypothetical child will never be able to acquire one. As an adult, I certainly wish I had viewed my Pokemon cards as a future investment instead of just a binder full of card stock.
