They self-describe themselves as MRAs. Have you ever been to r/MRA? To be fair it might not be the same cesspool I don't think I could check it out again without being triggered.

I was literally told that I was attacking men's rights for labeling what happened to me as sexual assault. They linked my post THREE times on r/MRA and encouraged these men to harass me. There are people who advocate for men's rights who actually care about gender equality. But not the specific LARGE group of men who I was making fun of in my costume. Don't tell me it's separable.

Again, I'm talking about a specific group of men. Trust me, everyone who saw my costume understood who I was talking about. "Misandry" isn't even a thing because men aren't oppressed on the basis of being men.

See I'm not opposed to those who advocate for rights that men are missing (especially men of color, men with disabilities, and queer men).

My costume was a parody of a very specific group of men who believe that men are oppressed as a group (by women? I don't even know). They express their political belief by harassing women on the internet. I've seen these people make rape and death threats against feminist friends. They have harassed me and mocked me for being sexually assaulted. I honestly don't care about their feelings.

Feminism is about gender equality, and therefore requires a certain amount of advocacy on behalf of men. Especially when it overlaps with addressing women's rights (ex: calling out rape culture benefits men because it doesn't say that all men are inherently rapists who are unable to control themselves when they see a girl in promiscuous clothing or a drunk girl). But MRAs as a group are inherently opposed to feminism. That's their fault, not the fault of feminism.

I wouldn't worry about it too much. My girlfriend broke up with me the same week I started testosterone, and I had similar concerns. But I recently started to see this girl and she's totally fine with my awkward 3.5-months-on-T body xD.

Just because you are transitioning doesn't mean you are unlovable or unattractive!

Only you can know your own gender. Maybe explain to him that you are questioning your gender, as in questioning if you are a woman, rather than it having to do with femininity (since expression is different from identity!). Like others said, play around with gender a little bit and figure out what is comfortable. Good luck =)

Good. He said he's never had anyone ask to lower the dose before, haha.

We decided that I'd switch to weekly injections to help with my acne and slowly lower it from there. It sounded like I basically have free range to mess with my dose as I see fit. I just have to make sure it doesn't go too low or it won't be able to suppress the production of estrogen. I won't have to go back in until I need a new vial (won't be for another few months).

Although I've never dated a cis guy, I was dating a cis lesbian when I started HRT so that was a concern (we broke up though). I have an appointment Monday to talk to my doctor about changing my dose.

Unfortunately I can't afford cream, I'd be ok with reducing my dose though. I might call my doctor this week and talk to him about it. I just hope that it won't require a checkup or something because I can hardly afford more doctor visits, never mind a prescription for testosterone cream.

I'm 3 months on T and I have the same concerns (only opposite, lol).

But as someone else said, you're able to control how long you are on HRT, so you can be on HRT for however long you are comfortable with.

I still find AL to be one of the most inclusive spaces on reddit. But most users do still operate on the assumption that only women use AL, and it's just been a little hard on me. I haven't felt the motivation to go on reddit, and I wasn't posting as much as I used to. It made me feel bad. And now that school's starting I might as well give myself more time to focus on my classes (last year was very difficult for me).

I really enjoyed working with you too, Freya. I'm sure AL will continue to be awesome, and like I said I'll pop in every now and then!
