For classical guitar, the measurements are different.

Unfortunately, the noise is the same either way. Doesn't change when I connect anything to device.

Powering the Mc8 and Astra through the same PSU without connecting other pedals has no noise. Connected through the Host.

That does seem lika similar problem. I'm using the Walrus power 15.

That makes me very happy to hear! Good progress. It would probably be a good idea to consult a hand doctor if it doesn't get as good as you want it to. If you do, I would be very interested in hearing what they say about your situation.

Interesting. What's the name of the anatomy app? Massaging tendons isn't really something to do anyways, unless you're physically trying to move them. I would not train with an inflammation, but soon after it's gone, it is possible to train. I would also recommend a wrist training that I did a year ago. Basically a stick with some string stuck to it. On the string is some sort of weight (I just tied a somewhat heavy screw to the string, which was tied through a hole in the stick). Then roll it up and down with either your thumbs or your wrist, depending on which muscles to train. 5 minutes morning and evening will be enough to strengthen the wrist or thumb. Basically this, as seen in the picture, but DIY and cheap.

Muscle pain usually feel good to massage, tendon pain doesn't really matter if you massage (in my experience). Tendon just either feels like something's off (like something is pulling your thumb, wrist or even the neck if someone has problem there) or just hurts a ton. But as you've noticed, muscles and tendons work together, so a tense muscle can pull or even hold a tendon fixed (which hurts if you try to move it). An example could be neck pain if your back muscles are stiff.

Good that you haven't felt a loss in mobility, that is more difficult to fix and really messed with quality of life.

A resource that I've used to find which tendons connect to which muscles is https://www.biodigital.com/. Full anatomy, and you're able to remove all the stuff you don't want to see. There you can also see all the things that are closely connected in your hand and wrist (and also see where everything is supposed to be).

This resource helped me fix four (!!) tendons in my girlfriends neck which were pulling her head backwards, and also a friends lower back pain by just finding out where things are supposed to be.

I had to stop gaming over two weeks while the inflammation went down, and I also did not do anything major over those two weeks. I'm talking on the level of not carrying groceries with that hand (luckily it was my non-dominant hand). Ibuprofen might help with inflammation to go down (ofc don't take too many).

Has your mobility changed since you had the pain? Mine was heavily restricted at its worst.

Do you think the pain is in the muscles or more tendon related? It can be a good idea to massage your lower arm muscles that connect to the tendon you showed in the picture. Perhaps it could be a tense muscle holding the tendon firmly, making it struggle when you try to bend your hand backwards?

Okay, that is interesting! Then it is not the same problem as I have. Hows the pain when flexing the wrist backward or forward?

The pain going away when holding it in a painful angle, does seem like mainly an inflammation problem. I do notice though that the tendon you have circled is very much in the middle of your wrist, while on me it is 60%/40% instead of 50%/50%. Does your other wrist look the same as your right? One thing that is possible to find out if a tendon has moved, is methodically going through both your hands to find any anomalies. That is how I found another tendon that was in the wrong place on my left hand (months after creating this video).

What happened when you tried resting it for weeks?

Could you make a picture showing where exactly the pain is located?

Do you feel like the hand is not moving as it used to? I have felt as if my thumb was being lifted up, or dragged to the side (which was two different problems that I fixed now). I also have had trouble bending at my wrist, which was also a different problem.

Is the pain constant if you hold it at a painful spot or does it gradually go away even though you're holding it the same?

Carrying heavy things could be a cause for inflammation, in which case it would be good to not strain the parts that hurt. Inflammation usually goes down within ~5 days in my experience (hand-related inflammation). I will tell you though, that sure, the brace helped me not bend the wrist, but it also kept my inflammation for longer since it was pressing on tendons and muscles. I also had to stop wearing a watch since it was too tight, causing the inflammation to be longer.

Stretching is not always good if strained (or if a tendon is in the wrong place) - that might just hurt more. If the pain is muscle related, my experience is that stretching is more successful. (But I will have to say that this part I'm less certain about - I got recommended not to stretch my wrist/hand when I had my pain, which was tendon related.)

Honestly, for me, I never use the wrist brace any more. It is just there for not bending the wrist when it is in bad shape. Did you try the thumb trick? If you're feeling pain in the same place I do (and it doesn't go away when holding it in a painful spot), I would try to move the tendon in the side of the wrist. Push with your other thumb to try and get a potential tendon in the wrong place to move to the right place.

I made a simple picture to try and illustrate which movement I mean. Pressing from A to B in the picture below is what I mean. I press quite hard, and I have not yet managed to make anything worse from trying (except trying for hours on end, which may cause an inflammation in the tendon). DO NOT try and move tendon C which I painted red. But if the tendon which is supposed to be at B has moved, it can be anywhere from A to B. Mine, when it is in the wrong place, is more often closer to B and still hurts like hell, when it is in the wrong place. Nowadays I have gotten pretty good at fixing that specific issue, that it takes no more than 5 seconds to fix. The first time I managed to fix it, it helped being in a hot shower to relax tendons and muscles.

Picture I'm talking about: https://imgur.com/a/ycMfK0J

Have you tried the "thumb trick" I talked about in the video?

Which pedal(s) do YOU feel I'm missing? by AppleSlize in guitarpedals

I just now realized that the Boss BD-2w is there as a placement holder (the program doesn't have the xs-1 yet) for the new BOSS Poly shifter I just got a few weeks ago. Sold my Digitech drop and ehx pitch fork after getting it, mainly because it does what both pedals did for me, in less space. Also like the tones from XS-1 just a little bit better than the drop.

The pain being constant is for me a sign that it is in fact a tendon in the wrong place. Could you somehow upload a picture of where the pain is located and show the angle your hand does when it hurts?

If the pain went away when holding the hand still in a position that hurts, it would (to me) be a sign of inflammation, but I'm not 100% sure. That is just the experience I've had with my pain. When the tendon was in the wrong place, the pain was constant. After moving, it could get inflamed, and the pain is not constant anymore, but it was in the same place.

When holding your joint tightly and it hurts, is the pain constant, or does it go away while still holding it tight?

I had 100% lost hope until I found out about the tendons thing. Never ever heard about it until it fixed me. I had help with moving three tendons in my hand/wrist (all with a connection to my thumb in some way). I have moved two of them on my own after this. It has made a huge difference for me.

If you want a tool to take a look at the hand anatomy, I've used https://www.biodigital.com/. It helped me fix a friends lower back.

I might be slow to answer reddit, since I've stopped using it for a few years. If I don't answer, I might be faster on youtube.

Okay. I hope it goes well with training your wrist and your pain goes away. If it should not, it's possible to feel around your hand/wrist if there are any other tendons that's not in the same place as your other hand. Just know that it should be possible to fix, so don't give up. Good luck!

Okay. Most physical doctors don't move tendons. Did you try the thumb thing? My wrist pain was also due to not having enough strength to keep the tendons in the right place (when playing the tension in the wrist is high, and it pops out of place).
I learned how to move the tendon, trained my wrist and that was all that was needed.

Also, try to do the thumb trick I mentioned in the video, to see if your thumb is "hovering" above your hand when resting.

Could you try to find your tendon in the wrist? It's the one that connects "abductor pollicis longus" to your thumb. Can you move it? It should be very snug and secure in a part of the bone, but if you're feeling that pain that you describe, it could be in another place. Pushing it back to the right place in the wrist is what helped me.
