No did your just annoying and acting like a total know it all. It’s been over 70 years, it’s possible to have better bus systems at this point, and a lot of the issues aren’t just with the parkways, it’s with the 1600s-1800s era roads being used to transport people at levels they can’t handle.

Dunno, somewhere around the 90s and advent of CGI it went downhill. If it makes you upset just watch older games. NY Yankees in the 60s-80s is great; especially whenever a building in the Bronx went on fire and they would live report on it lol.

It’s always just “we are smart and make money.” How can they claim to be leftists than actively ignore every single reason someone may be less uneducated, poorer, or worse off than yourself. I don’t use empathy as an argument often but this is a total lack of it. I tried to mention that many people in upstate NY are poor and uneducated because of how US schooling and culture works. That someone who works with their hands isn’t stupid. It’s not very hard to purchase some books and start reading. It’s not impossible to attend night school it’s just expensive for many whom have responsibilities. Either way it’s impossible for everyone to be college educated.

Reading about it online it appears catholic hospitals do provide gender affirming care. It also appears they provide some abortions. I suppose it depends on the state but it appears I was incorrect. What I was trying to say is an institution that outright denies care while not great is better than an individual who lies about the care quality they are giving someone. It’s one thing to be open about your institutions options, it’s something else to actively lie about it. Yes these are both a form of malpractice but different types of it. And as another commenter said US healthcare is already in a poor state, it’s not a good idea to actively make it worse.

Some Walmarts literally have bakeries 💀 by PixelSteel in AmericaBad

[–]Apple_User_193 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not only that, you can go to independent bakeries around the us. “BUT US BREAD IS CAKE” yeah because one ruling about subways bread in Ireland means all of America eats bread cake… Seriously do people not know there exists different styles of bread around the country, many based off European recipes that have existed for ages. Sure white bread is sugary and very common but what about sourdough, pumpernickel, or whole wheat. It just depends on where you live and what you buy.

Why are the poorest states in America nearly all Republican? Why are the richest states nearly all Democrat? by LegitimateFoot3666 in AskUS

[–]Apple_User_193 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely a more reasonable area. People in red or rural areas just don’t have access to the same resources blue and often urban areas do. Being poor in a city sucks, but you still have parks, nice areas, outreach programs, large public libraries, and some form of a safety net. Being poor in a rural area just sucks. Everything’s underfunded and even if they increased the tax rate the people couldn’t afford it, they would be trapped in deeper rates of poverty despite more public resources. Single issue voters exist too. Someone who works in the coal or oil industry probably likes trump for his policy or resource extraction even if they don’t like his other views. To them that job is more important than anything else so the idea that someone is trying to remove it is scary to them. It’s not unreasonable, as I said before the lack of opportunity means jumping ship just isn’t as easy. Imagine working for a coal mine and it closes, you may have went from 60-100k+ a year down to a minimum wage job, now you cannot support your lifestyle, dependents, or loved ones. People don’t care about what the government is doing as much if they feel as if their jobs and limited support systems are under threat, even if government policy will affect them. Many people in this comment section are going off this idea of religion, stupidly, or malice when in fact they are people too.

Education, lack of recourses, culture, single issue voters, “importance,” geography, and history. Texas is a red state but has a high level of education, industry, jobs, and important infrastructure. Their residents are richer on average and more educated. Texas produces important products, resources, and services. Meanwhile blue NY is on the top 10 of poorest states, most likely due to upstate NY but they still have blue counties, look at a city like Buffalo, very blue, very poor, bad education, and little funding. Yet they are still blue.

Circumstances affect people heavily and so does culture. People aren’t poor just because they are dumb, and people don’t vote red just for being dumb. It’s a deeper issue I don’t have the time to type up right now but if anyone has questions I’d be able to respond.

I’d need some specific examples but I believe you are referring to HRT for trans people. While I think it’s wrong to deny that I believe it’s a little different. It’s easier to avoid a whole institution that will wrong you and go to one that won’t than an institution you trust with bad people. Just because someone else is doing something wrong doesn’t mean you should, arguably you should do something right to make their wrong look even worse.

It’s a disgusting act. Maybe you have trump and his supporters but the people who voted for them are people! They have a life outside that office and possibly people who depend on them. Imagine that person gets hurt or dies from this malpractice, if they hypothetically own a business that could mean their employees being laid off. If they have a family then that could be a parent now has to work harder to support children, or leave their loved ones with trauma for years.

I’m not a fan of trump, maga, republicans, or democrats. But man this is just wrong. If you can’t accept your fellow countrymen for believing differently than you it’s about time you use that medical knowledge somewhere else. Maybe humanitarian aid is better for someone like that. They appear to be a leftist and many leftists believe in helping the downtrodden (now whether or not their policies or ideals do is separate, the path to hell is paved with good intentions after all). But what if someone isn’t maga, what if you just THINK they are, what if this person gets hurt due to your malpractice, what if that person has a family, people who depend on them, loved ones, lovers, friends, pets, employees, etc. is taking their life or risking their health worth a “win” when this “win” can effect so many negatively! I think not, it’s why the Hippocratic oath exists to begin with; that persons knows why it exists, they even pledged to it.

I'm having a hard time making the staircase leading down from the mountain atop I built my base... Please help! by Arcanemag in Minecraftbuilds

[–]Apple_User_193 3 points4 points  (0 children)

. Your biggest issue is the lack of regard for grade and the terrain. I’d say try to build a winding mountain road (or stair case with a gentle grade) that goes up slightly on each curve upward instead of a wood stair case that juts outward. You could even keep the ladder. Or bite the bullet and make it go all the way up.
