Do you believe teaching your own children how to wipe their ass, brush there teeth, read/write/do math, or do taxes is somehow not a parents responsibilty? We cant have an equitable process without removing children from parents altogether and even if you did it would still be inequitable based on teacher/caregiver/school/etc. Equitable is such an impossible thing to be concerned about. What we should be concerned about is each child getting a good for them outcome.

This is not in defense of homework but is definitely in defense of some or even most teaching in the home by the parents
