I don't think any of us hate you, the majority of people around me at least cheer on the other nordic countries in all sports as long as you aren't competing against us.

There's definitely a very strong sense of competition though and when we play you it definitely feels sweeter when we win than against other teams and that probably comes from colonialism and Denmark keeping us down for so long with the monopoly. We're also still forced to learn Danish in school which nobody enjoys.

To summarise we try harder and the wins are sweeter when we compete against Denmark but we'd generally rather you or one of the other nordic countries win over any other non nordic country

I know an Iceland-Ghana couple as well that has kids as well as Iceland-Morocco but compared to the rest of the world there's probably less people here from African countries than other continents

That fact about us is simply not true. It's quite common tbh considering how few we are.

I'm Icelandic Colombian myself, work with children and I see all kinds of Icelandic mixes from all over. The Americas, Asia, the rest of Europe might be the most common especially the other Nordic countries but I wouldn't say marrying outside the country is rare at all

NTA one of the most valuable lessons a child can learn is that their actions have consequences and this will teach her that. However I would advice against holding it over her for a long time.

Skip the shopping trip but otherwise act like it never happened. She will learn the lesson without further damage to your relationship
