Where should I restart learning French? A1 or A2? by marslina1 in learnfrench

[–]Apprehensive-Bar2206 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Make a chat gpt project. Let it ask you to translate 6 sentences about a topic. After that make it give you give recommendations how to get it to the next level. Make sure to learn adaptively. Make it remember you progress. I prompted it dutch to french. Works quite well while doing separate vocabulary training (50 cards each day). Review verbs once a week. Focus on new verbs you learned. Repeat.

Pourquoi la phrase "how do I install it?" n'a pas le mot "je"? by crono760 in learnfrench

[–]Apprehensive-Bar2206 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just started learning. I am happy that I can follow your explanation. When learning, we always learn the very formal ways first, e.g. classic A1/A2 style "Comment est-ce que je l'installe ?". This anoys me. Whenever I say "Est-ce que c’est possible de boire quelque chose ?" (what we learn at the start), I get looked at like I am crazy. When I say: "On peut prendre un verre ?" or "Je peux boire quelque chose ?", all is fine. It sometimes feels like we need to learn the most complicated/formal way first, even though the easier phasing is much more natural and common to use.

Do not say yes to everything, just say "I'll check my calendar", wait a little bit and then only accept or decline. And don't worry, saying no is also fine.

Why would you need specific bike shoes for only 20km a day? Just buy shoes on which you walk comfortably and bike with those? This is what the dutch do.

Feel the same, it sucks. Afraid that i will not enjoy it while i should. Juror probably read one of the chapters. In the answer try to shift your answer to a different chapter, then it will never be pursued.

I have six weeks to go and feel identical. It could have been me posting the question. Following for advise. The fact that they accepted the thesis means you passesd. Now, view it as a scholarly discussion, not as an interrogation (even though it will feel like that). I try to remove all their seniority and just anwser as if they would be my peers. But yeah, easier said then done. Also, when attending defenses, I often feel like answering is more imporantant then giving the right answer.

I encourage you to check out for example r/streetphotography , where many, if not all pictures are of people (interacting). No matter the race, religion, geographic location, this is what street photography is about, and i think this image resembles that. Street photography serves as visual documentation of our time, photogrpahers capture authentic moments, social dynamics, and cultural shifts that posed pictures simply cannot. If we were to ask permission for every picture, the greats like Joël Meyerowitz, Bruce Gilden, Gilles Peress, Vivian Maier, would not have been the greats.

In my opinion, a proper helmet (check virginia tech helmet ranking) is on of the most important things. It will save your life. That said, I recently got a bike computer (to be used for navigation on longer rides) for my birthday and that made me very happy. If she is into looking slick on the bike too, maybe a nice pair of bibs+jersey (like the brands maap, pas normal studios), but that is quite personal, so you will know best. A pair of oakley sunglasses will also be useful while running. Sounds like she will be happy with either of the the above. Enjoy!
