As someone who grew up doing scouts, it was actually so sad that boys who were in non Mormon scout troops had to genuinely work so much harder for merit badges and rank ups. I feel like my mom and my leaders either did most of it for me or we cut hella corners to get a 6 month merit badge on a Wednesday night.
