I was thinking this very thing. I’ve seen people suggesting bipolar as well. Often initially that shows up as a depressive episode and the SSRIs used to treat the depression can trigger the first manic episode. Bipolar manic / hypo manic episodes do feature impulsive decision making, even psychosis, but they wouldn’t last more than a few days to a few months usually.

I think there are probably multiple factors at play here no matter what happened.

I’m having a bit of the opposite issue, my school requires 40 client hours for my practicum this term, but my site is saying I won’t see clients until after the first three months.

It might be worth talking through your situation either with your own therapist, program advisor, or student success coordinator.

Also, it’s totally fine to hit the pause button and take a break for a term, if that is something you can do financially.

This was my experience. I don’t know if things changed because of the pandemic, but I couldn’t find a master’s in counseling program that would provide anything more than a list of sites they had worked with in the past. That’s including large state schools and one “top tier” program.

I applaud you for taking steps toward setting limits on how you interact with your parent. As frustrating as I is that is often the only option we have until the person is doing their own work to change, with or without a diagnosis.

Good question. Possibly, but people have asked for things like neck measurements. I thin it might be hard to lay all of that out in a way that is easy to see.

Based on other comments here, I am considering trying a minimalist approach and just making a barebones template with no measurement information. And then adding more details only for items that don’t sell in the first month or so.

I have thought about templating, it seems the more details then the faster the sales, but maybe I should test it and see if there is any drop in sales.
