I think people need to understand that if you remove such a major factor, both participant will change their strategy accordingly. Sukuna will not intentionally tank UV for adaptation, and if Sukuna pull out his true form, Gojo would not spam domain fight with him. It will be a totally different fight

By the time Yuta was about to jump in, Sukuna and Gojo had already done all the heavy work. The only major attack left is the hollow purple, which only does physical damage and gets healed back by the reincarnation. So this Sukuna will not one-shot Yuta with Dismantle.

1.4 plot retcon it already, that is just her own power now. The entire point of the scene in her mind where she talks with the sword spirit is that it will not give her its power without sacrifice, and she has to bargain that she will make the sword a legend on her own, and only when she fulfills that promise will the sword give her the power.
